I have installed Adobe Reader 11.0.07 for Mac OS 10.9.3. Have asked this question numerous time without results. The problems I am having are: I cannot scroll using the side slider on downloaded PDF files, nor can I fill in fillable files. Also, and this is extremely irritating, I cannot re-initialize the same file or initialize and another PDF file after I have initialized the first file. If you cannot help please let me know if should use an earlier  version of Reader or find anther company that has the appropriate software.

Perhaps you missed that you started a discussion at I have OS 10.9.2 and have downloaded latest version of Reader 11. I can no longer fill in form or scroll using the side bar. and you did not respond to the last post there.

    I have installed adobe reader onto my Mac but when I open up an adobe pdf it tells me that i need to accept the end user license agreement, quite, and then open up a new browser but i have never seen the end user license agreement. What should I do in order to accept the end user license agreement even though it never pops up when i install adobe reader?

    Make sure Readr is closed. Go to the Applications form, look for the Adobe Reader icon, double click on it, and follow the lead. Restart Reader when finished.

  • Need stats on the number of computers that have installed Adobe Reader

    Where can I find how many computers have installed Adobe Reader? I've searched but I can't seem to find an answer. I am trying to convince the PM for a project that we don't need an non-PDF version of a PDF file since Reader is almost universally installed. However, I can't find a solid number to report.

    You probably won't get one either. Just wild guesses. This isn't something that Adobe would release as fas as I know.
    If you want my wild guess, I'd say 95% of the computers in the US have Reader but again, I have no real information to base that number on.

  • Adobe Reader's Internet Plugins for Mac OSX

    Every time I upgrade or reinstall Adobe Reader on Mac OSX I have to delete the plugins installed in my library to stop Reader being my default pdf viewer in Safari.
    Isn't it time your apps worked like everyone elses and gave the USER the option to select which viewer to use as the default?
    It really annoys me that I have to go through this tedious process after all these years just because Adobe hasn't fixed the problem. I am now a little cynical about the company's motivation - I may even think that Reader is so ugly, clunky and resource heavy that it's the only way they can get anyone to use it!
    You may say "Why install it?" Because some forms demand Reader to complete the field electronically - otherwise I would.

    I'm encountering the same problem on the two computers below. Email attachments will open in the same manner. Attempts to download or open PDFs on the Internet result in a black page with no content or the warning you've noted above.
    Macbook pro 15 running 10.8.4
    Mac Mini running 10.8.4
    I am able to open PDFs on a Mac pro 17 running 10.7.5. I have used airdrop to move the document to one of the above two computers. This results in the original file becoming corrupted and unable to open and the file moved to the other computer will also state that it is corrupted.
    There is clearly something amiss in Adobe and Mac working together. (And it is causing considerable frustration at this point.)
    I should add, I have the full Adobe PDF product on the Mac Mini.

  • I have installed Adobe Reader XI (11.0) (36.1 MB) 3 times, now, and Firefox still tells me it is obsolete.

    I have Firefox 7.0.1. I also have Adobe 9.2.0 Pro installed. I use your plug-in checker and it asks me to update the Adobe Reader. I do that and still get the warning message that the plug-in is out of date. I suspect that I am being referred to the wrong update site. Every time I attempt to update Adobe Pro, the update fails. I suspect I am going to have to do a complete reinstallation of the Pro version, but still, Firefox should be able to distinguish between the Reader and the Pro plugins, shouldn't it?

  • How do I install Adobe REader? Their instructions for Firefox say to "Click on the 'Edit Options' button in the yellow bar at the top" but there is no yellow bar or 'Edit Options' button.

    How do I download Adobe Reader 9 in Firefox? Their instructions say to begin by clicking on the 'Edit Options' button on the yellow bar at the top. I have no such bar or button on my Firefox start page.
    == This happened ==
    Just once or twice
    == About 1/2 hour ago.

    The instructions on the Adobe site are outdated and do no longer apply to current Firefox versions and you can ignore those instructions and save the Adobe installer to your desktop and start the installation with a double-click on that file.

  • Can't install Adobe Reader 8.1.2 to Mac OS X 10.5.3

    Downloading the .dmg file was no problem, nor mounting it; but there's a circle with a slash through it over the Adobe Reader Installer icon, and if I double click it I get the following message:
    You can't open the application "Adobe Reader 8 Installer.app" because it is not supported on this architecture.
    I am running OS X 10.5.3 on a PowerPC G5 Dual Processor. All other Adobe programs including Acrobat and CS3 work fine. And now my existing installation of Reader won't start; I just see an hourglass.

    Correct diagnosis. When I went back and downloaded the PowerPC version, it worked fine. The Intel version works fine on my MacBook Pro, too!

  • Can I install adobe reader on 2 computers for the same online price?

    Please help

    If it's Acrobat then technically, yes. But they should be for your use (such as your main workstation and a laptop or other portable) and not someone else.
