I have installed an UPGRADE for LR5 and by mistake downloaded an upgrade thinking it was an UPDATE

Can I simply reinstall my discs? Should I de-install the download? Will I lose data i.e. photographs which I was working on while the new upgrade was installing?

Thank you Jeff. I am using an iMac with the new Mavericks software. I first installed an upgrade for LR5 from discs which I purchased some weeks ago and seemed to be using the installation to work on my photographs. Then a screen appeared talking about an upgrade which seemed to be an update to the discs already installed for LR5 so I downloaded it while continuing to work on photos. There were no instructions to close application. When I did close the application at the end of my work session and then tried to reopen Lightroom it is asking for a serial number. When I put in the serial number I have on the discs it says can't use that because it's already being used. So my question is can I deinstall this latest download and either recover the earlier version or reinstall the discs? I would like to use the latest catalogue so that I have my latest work that I've done on my photos.
Apologies if this seems confusing - I am confused as to what has happened and would appreciate help. Thanks in advance.

My problem is the opposite. My desktop apparently removes the mail from the mail servers before my iPad can read it.
One of my email accounts is a POP account. mail has a setting to leave the mail on the server, but I can't see that it makes any difference. The mail going to that account still doesn't make it to my iPad. I also have an IMAP account, but I don't see a similar setting.
I would like to be able to use my desktop as my main email platform, but I also want to see the latest using my iPad when I am traveling.

Your initial post indicated that you had a CC subscription. That seems to imply that you have subscribed. If you hadn't already purchased Lightroom 6 I would suggest that you wait until you decide about CC. You really don't need both because the Lightroom program is precisely the same except for Lightroom 6 without the creative cloud has no Lightroom mobile capabilities. But I was only trying to help.

Yea I am. I deleted Logic Pro 9 and moved the App to the Trashcan like normal. Then when I go to install it, it says its already Installed. When I do this with other apps; it works fine, the install thing comes back up like it should once you have deleted the app

I have installed OS Mavericks 10.9 and now find that Mac Mail includes titles for addressees. Thus, it shows 'Dr John Brown' instead of 'John Brown'. I have had the same problem with suffixes with earlier versions and solved that by deleting all suffixes from my address book. I don't want to have to do that for titles. It is Ideal to install Creative Cloud app , if you are using Adobe apps.
Creative Cloud is nothing but an updated version of Adobe Application manager. Adobe Application Manager is required for different purposes like Activation, Update.process and installation processes.etc
Adobe application manager must be up to date , that brings to Creative Cloud application which is the updated version .
No need to Sign in and all , just keep it install, if you are not okay with installing Creative Cloud app. it's okay , you can still have Adobe Application Manager only.

It would appear that you are destined for the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum since your question is related to Photoshop Elements and not Premiere Elements which is the focus program where you have posted.
But, while the arrangements are being made, here are a few things for you to think about if you have not already
1. Reset Tools - Select Brush Tool, then
2. Delete Settings File
Go to Full Editor/Edit Menu/Preferences/General and click on the option "Reset Preferences on Next Launch".
