I have installed Firefox 4 Mobile on my N900 but I am not satisfied with it. How do I go back to the previous version?
While Firefox 4 is a suburb application, it does not play Flash Videos and there is no add-on for that, and therefore it prohibits me from watching videos on the various news sites I visit.
The previous version of Firefox Mobile supported a software version of Flash that was adequate for playing Flash videos, but I cannot find the previous version of Firefox anywhere on the web.
My question is: how can I install the previous version of Firefox mobile on my N900?
To enable Flash in Firefox 4.0 for N900:
# Type about:config in the location bar and press return.
# Find the preference "plugin.disable".
# Tap on the toggle switch to set the value to "false".

Each time I go on any websites, there is always double stacked writing either on the left or right side of my screen. I selected to let Firefox install the update. After the update was done. A message came up and stated the new version of Firefox does not support the add-ons for Macfee virus software. How do I switch back to the previous version, that does support Macfee virus software add-ons? In the mean time I will have to switch back to IE until this is resolved.
Your Anti-virus application is not disabled, just one silly little McAfee extension for Firefox.

Before you revert anything try this:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

The Kaspersky support forums mention that those extensions will be updated soon, so that they are compatible with FF25. In the meantime, we do not recommend that you downgrade your version of Firefox, but you can find instructions and download locations for previous versions here:

I updated to new ios and now it is not syncing properly. New songs are not showing up on the ipod display but when I view the device on my computer, they are in the playlist but there is a dashed circle beside the missing songs. When I am on Facebook or playing a game, it will freeze and I have to hit control alt delete, to get any response. Within a couple more seconds the same problem occurs. I did not have this problem with the previous version.
I tried so hard with FF4 but no deal. It was considerably MUCH slower than 3.6. Every page just had a 2~3 second wait before it loaded up. This was tested on a brand new Windows 7 64-bit install machine too.
Flash ran much more cpu intensive as well. I played many flash based games in 3.6 and my cpu usage was never always as it was with FF4 in the 90%-100% range.
I had to get rid of it due to the slowness and the lack of older plugin support: ANYCOLOR which I must run and cannot stand the light colored menu pop ups. Also the buttons in FF4 are worse than 3.6. You can't see them when you have a persona applied.
Staying with 3.6 until 4 speeds up or will give 4.1 a try. -
I went to check my version information by selecting about under the help menu. Firefox started downloading the update and prompted me when it finished. I ok'd it, not realizing it would update to 10.0. A toolbar that I use is not compatible with the new version so I need to download the previous version. Can anyone tell me how to find 9.0. Thanks
To keep your computer and files safe, you should not go back to Firefox 9. Firefox 10 contains security fixes. You may be able to make your toolbar work by using the add-on compatibility reporter as described in this article [[Add-ons are disabled after updating Firefox]].

The office I work in uses a very old version of ACT!, an accounting package. This package has a component called SwiftPage, an antiquated email system that enables us to email from the ACT DB. SwiftPage runs via the web browser.
Firefox just did an auto update (that I will have to find out how to turn off) and now SwiftPage won't run as it is not compatible.
Can I "roll-back" my version of Firefox or do I have to uninstall and try to re-install an older version?

Many add-ons do in fact work if you force them to run. The procedure to roll-back is given in this article: [[installing previous versions of firefox]]
Unfortunately the official Firefox policy is that you downgrade to 3.6 which is supported for a while longer, and not the now unsupported Firefox 4. If after installing and running the ''add-on compatibility reporter'' you still have problems there are ways around the official policy.
I think it is absurd that Firefox 4 may be used by tens of millions of users one day and a few days later those that upgrade to Firefox 5 should be not only told not to use a now unsupported browser, if they need to revert due to problems, but are actually obstructed in attempts to do so.
