What is meant by this? Was iTunes simply installed and then signed in with the existing Apple ID or was a new Apple ID created?
If the former, simply transfer purchases from the device by selecting File > Transfer Purchases with the device connected. Or re-download them from iTunes as described in the article from which the question was posted.
If a new Apple ID was created, sign out of it and stop using it. Sign in with the same Apple ID that the content was purchased with.

Thanks for the response diesel. I dont think I clarified my question very well. I'm trying to do home sharing between mine and my wifes computers. The intructions say:
Log in as the same user on each computer.
Ensure both are current version.
Choose the correct list in sharing ie Music
Then in the 'show menu' at the bottom of the screen, choose items not in my library.
I do not have the show menu to select any songs.
Any help appreciated.

Installed latest Apple software updates, now my mail accounts will not open. No settings, addresses, passwords, etc. were changed. Help!

This morning I downloaded the latest Apple software updates. After the computer restarted, I cannot send/receive emails through Mail. I can, however, send emails through the Yahoo webpage. Nothing (user names, email address, password, etc.) was changed after the download/installation. I can get on the internet and my iPad works just fine, just not Mail.

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Just in case you missed some of the files:
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
/Library/Application Support/Conduit
/Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
/Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
/Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is your the root library on your Hard Disk.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

I installed the latest iTunes software on my Dell Windows 7 PC. Durring installation, when it got to the "Starting Services" part, I got an error message:
iTunes
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Devices) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priveleges to start system services.
Abort Retry Ignore
"Ignore" was highlighted.
I tried "Retry" but same message kept coming up, so I tried "Ignore"
Install completed. But when I tried to start iTunes, I got message:
"iTunes.exe
The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
Followed by the message:
"iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)."
I have tried the install procedure (after uninstalling iTunes) several times with the same results. Where do I get the file MSVCR80.dll? How do I get past this?

My question is: how can I install the previous version of Firefox mobile on my N900?

I again downloaded the 10.10.1 stand alone update and installed it using the .dmg file. I then downloaded the 10.10.2 update as a stand alone and when I tried to install it, I could not because the installation program said that I didn't have 10.10.1 installed......I'm at witts end. I've tried every solution I can find but nothing has worked and my computer has been acting this way since at least November. Any advice out there?

I keep getting Error Code 4002 in iTunes when I try to update my iTunes Match. I have turned off iTunes Match, then reinstalled it, but that does not seem to work. I also get another Error Code (4010) sometimes. Can someone offer advice?

iTunes store, App Store, iTunes Match and various other services have been down for the past several hours. Apple's System Status page at http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ now shows them back up but they are STILL NOT up for me or many other users. The error codes 4000 series refer to connection errors, I've gotten several from 4001-4010 all day. We're kind of at the mercy of Apple at this point. It would be nice if they would give us some notification about their problems since we are paying for their service.
