I have installed Premiere Elements 8 on a new PC. It won't open any new projects

I seem to have the same problem as LaxMan2010-11 in Premiere Elements 8 won't load recently saved project was there a resolution?

Problems with the same symptoms can (often do) have different causes.
So, let us focus in on your particular situation in order to find your answer.
What computer operating system is involved? For now I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
1. Have you gone through that usual drill in the older thread that you referenced?
a. latest version of QuickTime installed
b. problem looked at with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled
c. video card/graphics card driver up to date
Now...
1. Do you have installed the 8.0.1 Update. If not, please do so using the Adobe online link
Adobe - Premiere Elements : For Windows : Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0.1 update
2. Are you running the program from a User Account with Administrator Privileges and with Run As Administrator applied to the
program's desktop icon?
3. Is your problem confined to opening saved closed project created with Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 on another computer? If yes, then
open a new project and make sure that the automatic Background Rendering and AutoAnalzyer features are turned off.
4. Have you moved, deleted, or renamed folders/files that were imported into the project(s) after the project's was saved and closed?

I don't know how this works on a Mac; on Windows you need the Flash Player Projector (not the plugin) to view stand-alone SWF files: https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

"Open link in new tab" not working with Safari and new Yahoo Mail won't open in new tabs. Yahoo says it is a Safari issue. I don't think so.

Any ideas?
Works fine in classic Yahoo mail. But in the "new" Yahoo mail, there is not even an option to open in new tab when I right click the message to be opened. Interestingly enough, I can right click open to new tab on any other link on the same page that the emails are listed in.
Anyone encounter this? Have a solution?

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset.
If that didn't help, try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. Try Yahoo / tabs. If it functions as it should, move the .plist file to the Trash. Otherwise move it back to the Preferences folder.
And check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari. Try again.

Premiere Pro CC won't open any recent projects.

I recently installed Premiere Pro on Creative Cloud. When I started on my project, it was all working just fine. I closed my project and tried opening it again and the Premiere icon appears on the bottom of my screen and then nothing happens. After a few seconds my cursor turns into a watch and then the app closes. How do I fix this?

I was able to start up Premiere, but I was unable to open anything, recent or new without the app shutting off. It's fine, I restarted my computer and it was working fine again. Thanks for replying!

How do I install Premiere Elements 9 on my iMac?

I cannot install Premiere Elements 9 on my new iMac from the DVDs I own and successfully used to install Premiere Elements 9 on my old PC with Windows 7. The DVD auto-ejects and I get 5 warnings ("WARNING; Payload cannot be installed due to dependent operation failure") and 16 error messages of various cryptic content.
I successfully installed Photoshop Elements 9 from the second DVD. Note that the installation process for Premiere Elements 9 did not request a serial number.

Disc 2 Mac. This is Premiere Elements 9 Mac Content and does not require or ask for a serial number. As I have said, you do not install the Premiere Elements 9 Mac Content until after you have installed Premiere Elements 9 Mac program from Disc 1 Mac. If you have not installed the Premiere Elements 9 Mac program, you do not install Premiere Elements 9 Mac Content yet.
Both Photoshop Elements 9 Mac and Premiere Elements 9 Mac programs are installed from Disc 1 Mac, one at a time and each have its own unique serial number. These serial numbers are found as stickers on the back of the plastic case that house the 4 disc set.
There is no Photoshop Elements 9 Mac Content disc. Its content comes within the installation of the program. I have never run into the situation where Content disc asked for a serial number.
Just a point of clarification on what I wrote in post 1...I have cited Disc 1, 2, 3, and 4. In reality, the discs read as follows
Disc 1 Mac. For Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 programs on Mac.
Disc 2 Mac For Premiere Elements 9 Content Mac...to be used only after the program is installed from Disc 1.
Disc 1 Windows. For Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 programs on Windows.
Disc 2 Windows. For Premiere Elements 9 Content Windows...to be used only after the program is installed from Disc 1.
Bottom Line:
You need a unique serial number for each of Premiere Elements 9 and Photoshop Elements 9. Do you have them?
But, remember...
Photoshop Elements 9 Mac and Photoshop Elements 9 Windows have the same serial number
and
Premiere Elements 9 Mac and Premiere Elements 9 Windows have the same serial number which is different for that used by Photoshop Elements.
Do you have these serial numbers? If so, use Disc 1 Mac to try to install Premiere Elements 9 on your iMac with your purchased Premiere Elements 9 serial number. I cannot assure the compatibility of Premiere Elements 9 Mac with your iMac but those considerations go beyond an installation considerations.
Please review and consider. I hope that you are OK with the details.

When I click the new tab button it won't open a new tab.

When I either click the new tab button or right click on it and click New Tab, it won't open a new tab. It lights up as though its going to open a new one, to sign that its been clicked, but it won't open a new tab.

That can a problem with the Ask<i></i>.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro

cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro. keep getting exit code 7 half way through installation and disc ejects. running OS X 10.7.2 (lion). have installed acrobat reader, flash player, tried safe start mode...nothing works...HELP!

Yes ..thats the log in Library/Logs/adobe/installers/
The log is called

it has more entries in that one log but they relate to earlier fails and are identical each time....
there is a photoshop log in there as well (I bought the bundle) but that installed succesfully.
It clearly falls over trying to install Sonicfire pro 5 for premiere elements but WHY is the question
I really dont know what else to suggest...curious that the original poster on this thread had the same error on install as me it seems on a macbook pro
I really would like this to be sorted obviously if possible as soon as possible given I paid for t and cant use it
any other thoughts?

Re-installing premiere elements on a new computer

Hi. I bought Premiere Elements from the Adobe sight, about a half a year ago. now my computer broke down, and I want to install Premiere Elements again. I don't know how to do it and I can't find the serial number. I do have the emails sent to me from the sight while buying. What should I do?

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system?
The key is the purchased serial number.
If the program was installed successful before it is likely to be registered automatically at Adobe.
Go to the adobe web site http://www.adobe.com.
Sign In.
In the Search field, type in My Products and navigate to My Products and your products.
When you get to the list, look for the name of your version of Premiere Elements.
Click on the name of that product to reveal the serial number.
Did you purchase the product from Adobe? If so, you should be able to get new installation files,
this time under the Search for My Orders. There are alternate places to get new installation files, but
let us start here with getting the serial number as the key issue.
How many computers do you have that purchased serial number on - just the broken down computer?
Adobe allows for the same purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computers.
If this matter is involved, then you may have to contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat to get the purchased
activated serial on the broken down computer off your "count".
We will be watching for further developments.

What is the computer operating system involved? Can we assume Premiere Elements 12 as the new purchase? And, are you trying to install from an installation disc or from purchased online downloaded installation files?
I have not run into Error 2350. FDI Server Error before, but here are some links that talk about Error 2350. Please see if any of them apply to your situation.

In Premiere Elements 7, there are various effects for lightening a dark video. After applying one of these lighting effects, have you been editing these applied effects in Edit Effects/Properties Palette after you apply them?

Image Control Panel that is a default Properties Palette panel along with Motion and Opacity....for Brightness, Contrast, Hue, and Saturation.

Newly installed Premiere Element 13 won't run.

I just installed Premiere Element13. The program launches but when I select either "New" or "Existing" project, a pop-up will show with the message"Adobe Premiere Element.exe - No Disk" "Please insert disk in drive D". The pop-up cannot be dismissed and the program is stuck there and won't even close. I have to go to Task Manager to end it! I am running Windows 8.1, i5 4670K CPU, 8G RAM, 1T HD with DVD burner. Any suggestion?

I just installed the purchased version of Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7 and 8.1 64 bit. Interesting....
1. Beyond the usual, there seems to be a problem with this version's Interpret Footage and Properties readings for the .mod widescreen 16:9 file

2. With the Sept 2014 tryout there was a video transition named Funnel which is not there now in December 2014 in the
purchased version.
3. In the Sept. 2014 tryout, there were 2 new Movie Menu themes in the Kid's Corner category (Recital and Back to School). They
are not there in my December 2014 purchased Premiere Elements 13.
4. There are some reports about some .m2ts files having no sound only in the Elements Organizer 13 player. More news on that.
This just might be a problem with AC-3 (Dolby Digital) support in this particular user file in the Elements Organizer 13 player. If you run into this type of issue, please let us know.
But, right now all is moving along nicely. Hope all is going well there.
