I have ipad2 and I tried to turn it off by the sliding the red bar like 5 hours ago, it now has the circle of little lines going around the circle in the center of it and I can't get it to go off all the way or come back on! Someone please help.
I tunes will not recognize it when plugged in since it is doing this thing, and I just don't know what to do. I just finished completing a final project on pages for school and now I'm worried I might not get this thing working before Wednesday to turn in the assignment!!!
First, try simply plugging into your wall charger and not the computer. If that does nothing do a hard reset by holding your home and power button down at the same time until the Apple logo flashes back on the screen and release. Typically about 6-8 seconds. If that doesn't do it, you might need to put it into DFU mode. Try the first two and let me know how it goes before we do the DFU procedure.

The update did not do anything.
AT&T cannot and will not do anything, they do not provide support for iPhones, Apple does.
The issue is not with the iPhone or iOS if you've reset network settings and tried forgetting the Wi-Fi Network, it is specific to the network.
Check the settings on the router, try disabling the security settings first... that will clarify the issue is not with the device but rather the Network. -
I have two apple id's one from my old laptop and one from my iPhone. I saved my iTunes library to my external hard drive right before my old mac laptop died and then tried to transfer it to my new iMac. Now when I try to play my old music it skips like a scratched cd. Also, now I can't add any music to my iPhone unless it was purchased recently through itunes and downloaded through icloud. I tried to "Organize" my library in hopes of correcting the problem but my iMac just ejects my external harddrive part way through. Please help!

It sounds to me like you have some file corruption somewhere. Either in the transfer of your library to the external or the external itself is flaky if it keeps ejecting. -

Guess I understand what is going on as I'm also experiencing the problem.
Basically the issue is about the iPhone 4's personal hotspot.
I'm trying to hook on personal hotspot to my toshiba laptop but it couldnt work as the connection is limited to local only without Internet access.
The hotspot works well on other laptop and I-devices, but not my toshiba...

I have never backed up my iphone to my itunes because I always used the cloud. However, a few months ago, my wifi disk in my phone burned out so the Apple Store told me to back up everything to my itunes. I am going today to get the iphone 6 so I connected my phone (iphone 4S) to my itunes and I backed up and synced. However, when I look throughout the summary page and click in different areas (Photos, Movies), I don't see any of my data -- it is still asking me to Sync from iPhoto or to sync from another location. By backing up & syncing my phone, did all of my data get saved? Or do I still need to do more steps?
Sorry for the long winded question, I am just so nervous to get a new phone and plug it in to be restored and not have any of my pictures, videos or contacts, etc. Any help would be so so appreciated!Thank you again for all of your help!! I really appreciate it!
I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(

Can't get div to stretch down all the way

I hit a brick wall trying to have two graphic elements always stay on the left and right edges of the browser window while stretching all the way down. The elements need to repeat-y so I put them inside two divs. I can get the elements to fill 100% of the browser window, but it always stops there (which means that when I have a lot of content in my main_content div, the side elements stop where the 100% of the browser window height was).
I have a page with a structure like this:

But it doesnt work.. The two side elements will only strech 100% of the original browser window frame and not where the content on the main_content is pushing the window to stretch.

I'm not sure if there is an easier way, but I created a 960x20 px image in PS, filled it with the main content color, then created a separate 220 x 20 px image and filled it with the sidebar color. I used copy and paste to move the 220 px image into the main image, then positioned them at each end. I saved it as a gif, loaded it as the container background with repeat-y, and it seemed to work out ok. here's a link to the site: http://www.dirtbikes101.com

IPhone 4S switched itself off and wont come back on. Please help?

My iPhone 4S has started switching itself off randomly over the last week but would then switch itself back on several minutes later by itself. However, last night it switched itself off and no matter what ive tried it wont come back on. Ive tried the home+power button, connected to itunes and not, connected to itunes with the home button pressed. I rang the Geek Squad as I have insurance and they could suggest anything more. Im loathed to take it back to the shop as all the sales assistant will do is send it off, give me a rubbish temporary phone/brick and it will take ages to come back. I would be grateful if anyone can help please?Hi, my phone eventually came back to life of its own accord the next day but with virtually no battery life even though I'd given it a full charge. After it came back on I plugged it in to be recharged but the back became very warm whilst the power drained quicker than usual after I unplugged it.
I took it to the Apple store later that day and thankfully the phone switched itself off again right in front of one of the Genius assistants. He couldn't diagnose the problem and so gave me a brand new handset straight away. Credit to Apple there and I'm so glad I didn't take it back to the car phone warehouse where I bought it from. They would have sent it away for tests for weeks.

I can't sync my ipod since its come back from repair, please help
My ipod went for repair a few months ago now and while at repair my laptop also had to be repair, I ended up losing all my music. When i recieved my ipod back i asked a friend to put all her music on it. Now when I try to sync it to my laptop this question below pops up asking if I would like to erase and sycn or transfer purchases. Niether of which I want to do, I just want all the music transfered on to my laptop, how do I do this? please help

My Macbook air 2011- key board (a-l) do not respond, but when you hook up an external key board to the usb these keys on the computer also starts functioning as normal and when you disconnect the external key, these keys stops functioning...?
Perform SMC reset
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC. -
I-Pad Mini and Wi-Fi Connection. At one location the I-Pad Mini will not connect to wi-fi, while I-Pad and I-Phone 5 works just fine.
Then at another location the I-Pad Mini works just fine. Are there any suggestions anyone can give me to get I-Pad Mini to work everywhere just like I-Pad and I-Phone 5?Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

You didn't mention what web browser you are using so it's hard to say.
One quick thing you can try if you need to log into the class right now is to download a different browser. Assuming you're using Safari, some possible alternatives include Firefox by Mozilla, and Chrome by Google.
If you continue to experience problems please provide more information about the iMac, version of the Mac OS, and which browser version you are using. Most browsers have the ability to block pop-up windows. You just need to check your options. Here's what it looks like in the current version of Safari. -

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
