It's hard to tell what went wrong. Some possibilities:
1. Your iPhone did not have enough free space. Once it works, check Settings > General > Usage
2. There was an issue with your internet connection so the update did not download properly.
3. One of the many update steps got interrupted somehow

Your phone is carrier locked to a carrier other than the one you are trying to use.
It was apparently hacked to unlock it prior to your attempt to update. Updating has re-locked it to the original carrier.
Contact them and find out what their policy is.

My purchased tones still not on my iPhone after updating iOS 8.1.2

I have the problem of my purchased tones is not on my iPhone. But the purchase tones appeared in my iTunes. I have updated my iPhone to iOS 8.1.2. I thought by updating the iOS 8.1.2 will solve my problem. But I am still facing the same problem. I have tried to sync, back up and also use the link iTunes.com/restore-tones, but all I received is "Your tones were not affected". I have 3 purchased tones which still cannot be restored on my iPhone.

I also purchased a couple of ringtones. Mine vanished with the initial iOS 8 update. I was so excited when i found out that Apple was addressing this issue that I took the update for 8.1.2. right away. Sadly the the "fix" didn't work. It says "Your tones were not affected". That torques me. Not only did the fix fail, but declares to me that my tones were not affected. What, do they think they have a Jedi mind trick? These aren't the tones your looking for. Please Apple. Do not insult us.

A lot of us like a normal sized phone. The reason I have been a loyal Apple customer is the commitment to beautiful yet functional design. Not everyone wants to cram an iPad in their pocket. If iPhones are going to be the size of a Samsung Galaxy, what is the incentive to stay with Apple. My next phone will be a 5S. I will use it for a couple of years. If the iPhone 7 is a behemoth, maybe I will change brands.

That's almost always symptomatic of a phone that was hacked to unlock it and then updated or restored.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I cant activate my iphone after updating to 7.1.2. Before this I update my iPhone from 7.0.6 to 7.1.1 everything goes fine. But after update to 7.1.2 I cant activate my iPhone eventhough I use the same Apple ID when I activate this iPhone.
Please dont ask : Maybe you forgot your Apple ID password? - I use my apple ID almost for 3 years for my iPod n iPhone. And it still fine for my iPod.the

1. A box with same IMEI serial number.
2. Service Card with same IMEI serial number.
3. All original accessories that come with this iPhone.
This is just a prove that this iPhone is not a stolen iPhone.

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service regularly. Your contacts will be in whatever program/service you have chosen to sync.
If you have failed to sync your contacts then they are likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup.
You should be transferring any purchases made on the iphone to your computer regularly. Just sync them back. if you have failed to do this, then redownload them:

Yes lucky me . If all troubleshooting has been done in Resolve iOS update and restore errors and if you have at least taken it into a store where they could try a restore themselves then that would suggest a hardware fault with the iPhone.
If you are out of warranty then it is correct that they would quote you an out of warranty service fee. From here it would be a matter of trying the steps above and if you have already tried then doing the service when you do have the cash.

It look like that the number of alphabet in Apple Id is not matched. The new one is less than the old one so I cannot log in my IPhone. After that I try asking for the new password but the new password was not send to su* @pttplc.com but send to my reserve e-mail instead. Please help me to fix the problem ASAP due to I cannot access IPhone for 2 month already.
Please suggest the solution to reset my IPhone to normal. Please advise ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Not unless you have the previous owner's AppleID and password or can contact them.
