Follow these steps to log into your iCloud account on your computer and deactivate "Find my iPhone" on your device:
Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone
If you can’t turn off Find My iPhone on the device, turn off the device so it goes offline, then remove it from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.
Note: You can also remove your iOS device by first erasing it—just follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you don’t have. You can later restore the device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
Turn off the device you want to remove.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find on another computer with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, select the offline device, then click Remove from Account. If you don’t see Remove from Account, click All Devices again, then click the Delete button next to the device. If the device comes online again, it will reappear in Find My iPhone. If your device reappears, turn off Find My iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above for removing a device by turning off Find My iPhone), or if it’s an iOS device and you no longer have it, follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you no longer have.

If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.

Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.
Note: If you’re trying to erase a family member’s device, that person will need to enter his or her Apple ID password on this device. If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account.All your content is erased, and someone else can now activate the device.

I was using my Iphone 4 and it suddenly stopped working.
I thought the battery had just worn out really quickly or i'd not charged it last night.
My phone is presently plugged in and not even a battery charge appears.
I've had my phone for 16 months so I think its out of warranty, Im gutted as all of my recent photos havent been backed up!! Not sure what to do, can anyone suggest a possible solution please?

I can't make or take phone calls, but i can message and use data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, two of which have this problem and one just stopped working all together.

My phone doesn't have any cellular phone functions...but it CAN send text messages and access data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, the last two have this problem and the first stopped working all together. I've had new sim cards put in, ive done hard resets on the phone, i've rebooted the phone, done battery pulls, and tech support has reset the signal to my phone. Nothing has worked. (I just "upgraded" <- lol.... and my old phone IS turned off.)

Im in 79707. So to recap my whole case: I upgraded my device using the verizon wireless website. I received my phone and switched my old SIM card from my Droid Razr Maxx HD into the new Galaxy S5. Everything worked fine until the next morning (May 31st) when I woke up and the phone wouldn't turn on. I took the phone to the local Verizon store and they were also unable to turn it on. They issued me a new Galaxy S5 (referred to as phone 2) and switched my SIM card into that one.
With PHONE 2 i was able to make calls and receive calls, along with text and data for approximately four hours. After that, i was unable to use the phone function of the device, but text and data were still functioning. I took PHONE 2 back to the Verizon store where they attempted to hard reset the phone twice, they also installed two new SIM cards at the store. After this they would get the same error, which is the phone just reading "Dialing..." after attempting to make a call. The Verizon associate declared the phone "DOA" and issued me another Galaxy S5 (referred to as PHONE 3).
PHONE 3 worked well, with phone text and data featured intact from when I received it on the after noon of the 31st until approximately 2:30PM on June 1st. I contacted Verizon Tech Support via Gmail phone to attempt the correct the problem. They reset the connection, had me do a battery pull, had me close the "phone" application, and erase the data and catche, then restart the phone. All of which had no effect. My phone is still able to receive texts and use data (even with wifi off) it simply cannot make or take phone calls. all it says is "dialing..." when I attempt to make a call. When other phones call my device it rings once on their end and directs them to voicemail, PHONE 3 does not ring on my end.
I have made sure my old phone is completely powered down.

When you buy an iPhone in the U.S. it's locked to that country with the carrier you bought it for.
If you bought the device unlocked in the U.S. it's unlocked, you can use it on any carrier. Even one's outside the country.
If you want to do a repair on a device you bought in the U.S. and your using it in another country, you must send it back to the U.S. Why? That's where you bought it from.
AppleCare Protection Plans and AppleCare Limited Warranties are registered to your hardware.
Your hardware is your iPhone.
Wherever hardware that was bought then that's the country it was designed to be used in and that's where it was manufactured.
Apple is very localized - if you call U.S. tech support, you'll speak to somone in your country.
So, what does all this mean?
In order to do a repair, you need to send it back to the country you got it from.
And we're all customers like you. We understand that you're upset, but Apple isn't gonna bend the rules to one individual.
Policy is policy. Get over it.

Press and hold the Sleep/Power button and the "Home" button together at the same time and wait till you see the Apple logo to let go. That should fix it.

Why have my back and forward functions stopped working?

My forward and back arrows have stopped working and I am not able to go back or forward even with a mouse. The mouse is alright with all other browsers.

Using the " Safe Mode " the issue of no back or forward arrows or functions, now is the question of why did they stop? I don't have a clue as to why. The problem started just before going to 8.0.1 and it was fine always up 'till all of a sudden the issue reared its ugly head.

My iphone earpiece and proximity sensor stopped working suddenly

i have iphone4.
It was working fine. suddenly I dialled a call and noticed that the proximity sensor was not working. I could also not hear anything on my earpiece.
I tried various numbers but these 2 things are not working:-
1) proximity sensor
2) earpiece of the phone.
However I can use the headphones(earplugs) normally.
How do i get it to work. I have tried soft and hard restore already but no gain.

obviously its coverd by warranty unless you stole it.
so my advise is to call apple advisor
or altenatively you can try hard reset by pressing power and home button at the same time for 15 seconds

Why have iplayer, music and YouTube apps stopped working on iPad 1?

These have all stopped working on my iPad this week, any ideas on why and what to do?

I also have an iPad1 and my YouTube app keeps giving me an "authentication failed" error. It was working fine up until this morning. I have tried everything I can find online to regain access including: verifying that I am using the correct user name and password, activating 2-step verification and several attempts at application-specific passwords...no luck so far. I am going to try to resist the urge to keep trying for a while, hoping that maybe allowing it time to reset will help???
I do not usually use the Music app, but it seems to work okay for me. I only have a single podcast on there, but it played okay when I tried it. And I do not have iPlayer, so no idea about that one.
Of course Apple online support is no help because my device is "too old" and I can't afford to spend $20 for them to talk to me. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

I have two ipods and they both stopped working on my home computer.

My Ipod 4gb has worked great until know. I plugged it in and it doesn't show up on my computer any longer. I took it to work and it worked fine. Is this a USB port issue or could we have messed with the setting during a upgrade? or, does the memory and amount of power it provides become an issue? Need an answer

Try another USB device, if that works you may want to re-install iTunes. Also try another USB port if available - if no USB devices work in any port, the board is probably toast.
I see you're from the midwest - it's very dry and cold there in the winter right? I blew out the USB board on a laptop last winter when I plugged a device in and got a static shock from the machine, even though I didn't touch any metal parts, I guess I was close enough for the static to arc.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

If you have a phone with no Facetime, it can't ever be added. As you note, it is outlawed in several mideast countries. If you bought it in one of those, it is not an option for you.

Hae you tried to do a hard reset of your phone? This will not lose any data. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the phone turns off ignoring any slide to power off messages. Then power the phone back on.
