Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.

Thank you for the helpIf iTunes is reporting the backup is corrupt, there isn't anything you can do about that, except to delete that backup and try to create a new one before you attempt your restore. If that is not possible, then you will have to set the phone up as new and re-sync your data.

On my new iPhone 4s, I periodically get a "Sim failure" message and I loose my Verizon connection. To get service back, I need to shut down my phone and restart it.
Have you tried removing and replacing the SIM? If that doesn't work, try a new SIM from Verizon, they will usually swap them out for you for free. If those don't work, you might need to get the phone checked out, it may have a bad SIM port.

I am in a group chat with like 7 other people who all have smartphones. 6 of the people have iPhones, but the other person has android. I'm wondering if the iMessage works for the other 6, and my text count is only being accounted for by the android user. If the iPhone was locked, and has been hacked to unlock it, then the first time one updates the OS it re-locks to the original carrier, (usually AT&T in the US, who will never unlock an iPhone for any reason).
Sorry. I could be wrong. But I would never consider buying an iPhone from anywhere but Apple or a fully authorised retailer, for this very reason. -

When I've had a similar problem, it was because I was accessing the iTunes store from a device I hadn't used before, such as when I upgraded from an iPad 1 to the iPad 2. It was a little confusing to me until I figured it out.
All I had to do was use the ID of my existing account and play along with the iTunes store. As I recall, it asked for my password twice, and the security code from the back of my credit card. After that, downloads proceeded as before.

I have iPhone 4s, after i updated my software to 7.0.4 my wifi stopped working. The wifi icon at the top is gone. Its annoying that i have to us my data all the time. I've tried the network reset, it didn't work. My phone works fine, just a lilttle bit slow before i upadated to 7.0.4. And now not only the wifi, the phone itself is slower than ever. I wish i didn't udgrade to iOs 7. There's too much problems. There's this one time that I can't send iMessage at all.

I'm afraid that unless you are able to contact the previous owner and have him wipe the device, or provide you with his Apple ID password so you can delete the iCloud account, you are out of luck.
With iOS 7, an Activiation Lock was added to deter thieves. This lock prevents anyone but the owner of the device from deleting the iCloud account and restoring the device:

Unless you are able to reach the original owner and get the device wiped or the iCloud account deleted, you are stuck with a brick.
