How do I get all of the music on my computer to transfer to my Iphone? For some reason, itunes has picked up some songs but not others. example, I have several CD's loaded in which only 1 or 2 songs from the CD shows up in itunes.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything on the computer, then sync.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone to your computer - File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :

Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ?

I have just upgraded to Iphone 4S after my Iphone 3G failed and I am trying to transfer the infpormation. Swisscom tell me they cannot help but when I connect the Iphone 4S to my computer noting happensd it does not bring up my itunes account as the 3G ?

swisscom say they cannot help it should go to your account and select the phone under devises but I canniot get a screen to do this can anyone help

I have an iPhone 4. I would like to transfer music from my HP computer to the phone. The music appears on my iTunes page on the computer but I cannot figure out how to transfer it to the phone. I'd also like to transfer the phone numbers on my phone to my computer (so I can keep them on my backup drive in case something happens to the phone). When I connect the computer and the phone, it says it's 'syncing' but I certainly can't figure out what's being 'synced'. The only thing I've ever been able to transfer at all are photos from the phone to the computer. For a couple months now, every movie purchase through iTunes fails to transfer to my iPhone or iPad giving me the error: "some of the items in the iTunes library, including were not copied to the iPad because you are not authorized for them on this computer". I have read many forums about deleting, reinstalling, de-authorizing and authorizing my iMac through the iTunes store. Many suggestions don't work except to rename the movie to *.MP4 in Finder under the iTunes movie directory. I imagine this is a setting or a bug somewhere... any suggestions on how to bypass having to rename the files in Finder? My research into Google suggests this problem dates back to 2007 or so but it is now more prevalent than ever.

I can't figure out how to get my music back onto a new iTunes from my iPhone. I had to replace my iTunes after an update to my operating system on my MacBook Pro was reversed (found Mountain Lion to be incompatible with many existing programs and couldn't use it). I had alraedy manually loaded about a 1,000 songs from my CD's and now no matter what I've tried I can't get them back onto my new iTunes! How can I fix this without re-loading all of these songs?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

How do I retrieve an itune library purchased on my iphone after an accidental autosync. I was about to transfer them to the computer itunes library when this happened.

I have accidently autosynced my iphone and it wiped my whole ipod. It didn't even it sync the phone to have what is available on the computer itunes. I can luckily restore this but all the music purchased on the iphone has disappeared. I was about to transfer it over to the computer so it is not on the computer itunes library. Is there a way to retrieve this? It is all listed in the itunes store purchase history as a cruel reminder to it's existance.

What do you mean the PC won't let you transfer the music? Save your entire iTunes folder (this is assuming that you have all your music stored in your iTunes folder) to an external hard drive. Connect that hard drive to your Mac. Copy the iTunes folder to your computer. Hold down the option key while launching iTunes on your Mac. Select the library you just copied when it ask you to select which library you want to open.

Buy TouchCopy and install it on your new computer, connect your old iPod and transfer your songs to your computer.

All content bought/downloaded from iTunes is tied to the account that downloaded it and it can't be transferred to a different account - so you will need to authorise your old account on that computer if you want to transfer its purchases over.
