I have iPhone problems.
This is my second Iphone, first one had battery issues, so it was replaced. This one has been fine for about 6 months, but in the last 2 weeks it has been dropping calls, which I thought was ATT. When it dropped the last call I rebooted it and it was fine for a little while, then it came up with the message Activation Required. That finally cleared but it again came back after losing another call. So I tried to sync it to Itunes but it would not connect. So I tried to Restore and the first time that worked, but a few minutes after that the phone said No Service. So I tried to do another restore and halfway through I get the message an error occurred and now the phone only shows the connect to Itunes screen.
I do not use this phone much, since I am not a phone person. I am ready to throw the phone in the garbage at this point, cause when I do need a phone it is not working. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on what the heck to do about this phone?
My friend and his co-workers (who all work for the city) got new iPhones and most of them had the exact same problems most of the people that didnt have the problem were people that had cases, you would think that a case would block the antena but it acutally helpped, i think it has to do with the metal around the iPhone and touching it with bare skin grounds it or shorts it out (not 100% sure tho) but if you don't have a case then get one and see if it make a difference, if you have a case then... i dont know what to say...

Hello, I've updated the iPhone I have got I have a problem I hope you respond to some of the applications no longer work, such as the safari and skype and many applications are no longer working with the ios7.0.4
Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -
i have a problem in my account every time i want to install application from app Store on my iphone a message shows that my Apple ID has been disabled, i creat a new password and still that message shoes ,what is the problem ?can you help me please???!!!!
If your account is disabled then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -
Hi, I have the problem which iTunes cannot detect my iPhone 4s. I tried the steps you have provided in your troubleshooting, but it won't work for me because the Apple Mobile Devilce is perfectly installed on my windows. However, the driver "Microsoft teredo Tunneling adapter" has a yellow exclamation mark, which i believe means it's not installed correctly or something is wrong with it. This driver is under the Network Adapters (Please see picture below).
This is what happens when I connect my iPhone 4s to my laptop (Windows 7 Starter 32-bit)
1. The phone charges it's battery
2. I can open it in My Computer and import/export media files.
In iTunes
3. It start to sync until step 3 then stops.
4. The iPhone option with an arrow appears beside the iTunes Store, but when the arrow is clicked it disappears.
I hope you can provide me a solution for this problem.

For your iTunes issue with it not recognizing your iPhone, I would go ahead and suggest deleting iTunes and all of its components from your Windows computer and installing fresh.

As far as the arrow button that you click and the iPhone disappears, it sounds like you may be clicking on the eject button. Please take a look at the following article for information on the eject button in iTunes.

If your phone is locked to a particular carrier, you must contact them to request they unlock it. Once they've taken care of that and you've followed the instructions to complete the unlock process, you will be able to use the phone elsewhere.

Had the same problem. Have you checked your Cellular Data Network MMS fields? You should write there your MMS settings (APN, username, password, mmsc, mms proxy and mms max message size). You can get the data from your carrier. After that you could need to restart iPhone. Worked for me.

Are you trying to use the phone in Bahrain with a supported carrier there? I suspect not. If you try to use this phone outside of Bahrain, you won't have FaceTime. This is done to prevent folks from simply crossing the border to purchase iPhones in Bahrain...FaceTime is banned in Saudi Arabia & the UAE. Sorry, but you'll only have FaceTime on that phone while using it in Bahrain on a supported carrier's network there.

I have a problem syncing iCal on my Macbook air (10.7.5) and my iPhone 4s (5.1.1) over iCloud. The following server error message comes up "The request (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation) for account “iCloud” failed." Been to Apple Store - no luck instore, or with Super genius over the phone when with genius in store, taking data in real time via ethernet!
I had to do a full wipe of my system because of time machine back up issues 2 weeks ago, and the error has only occured at some point since then. I only did a drag and drop of my user account folders/files into an External HDD rather than a copy of my user account (advised by the staff in store at Apple to do this) and when reimported, the Mail folders are all present but each message is in a sub-sub-sub folder that is numerically named. I do not have a mirror image of the hard disk prior to the wipe, only a time machine back up from 2 weeks prior to it being done. I am uncertain if this reinstall has caused the issue.
I am not happy to upgrade the software in my iPhone until I have the calendars working. I have purchased Mountain Lion, but again am concerned about upgrading until the issues are sorted.
I have tried the other solutions on here with no luck. HELP please.

I made a back of what existing phtos and Videos I had on my Iplhone. I used Image capture to do this making an entire back up of photos and videoa that were still intact on the phone.
Image capture is god for this purpose, as it does exactly what you ask it to do without applying any rules or squishing the files back into iphote (which might also be corupted)
Image capture wil do the basic function of retriving the contents of the phone and save them as native files on your hard drive.
Once I did this I erased my iphone, and re intitialised it restoring an older back up from icloud.
As the retore was happneing - I did retreive the missing files that cuased the intial beviour as above, and I could play the videos that were missing in the above scenerio. The wierd ting was however that even though the source files were now back on the device, the thumbnail previews were missing. Where I ahd balck thumb nails for server portions of the resotred content.
I then went to bed as the restore is a long process. When I woke up the library had library had cleaned itself up. Mysteriously the prcess had deleted the files missing the their thumbnails.
This is very perculiar and bad behavior.
I am now repeating the process, and will attempt to download the missing content as it is restored and prior to the phone trying to fix itself.
Here are the lessons learned.
DO NOT rely on Photo Stream to keep back ups and synchornise videos from you IOS device. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS CAPBILITY
DO NOT rely on iCloud Back Up alone - always fd an occassional iTunes back up or more reliably still always take a back up of photos and video files using Image Capture to be doubly sure that you a have backd up any content.
DO THIS NOW - dont wait to loose your phone ofr have your phone repaired by replacement at the apple Store. (I did both :-( -

Error 23, 28, 29: These errors may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article. Also attempt to restore while connected with the white USB Dock Connector cable that shipped with your device, on a known good computer and network to isolate this issue to the device. The MAC address being missing or the IMEI being the default value, (00 499901 064000 0), can also confirm a hardware issue. Out-of-date or incorrectly configured security software can also cause these errors.

My o2 email account does not work when sending from my MAC it will accept incoming mail but not send it gives me a message that o2 account (offline) my mac I have no problem with my iPhone or mac laptop. any suggestions please.

I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.

We have another iPhone 4 in the house and it reconnects to the wifi just fine. The kindle, the laptop, the Xbox all reconnect fine. However, for some reason, my iPhone 4S makes me type in the wifi password multiple times a day. It will connect and works fine while connected. However, if I let it go to sleep, when I unlock the screen my wifi is "not connected". I have to deselect the router and retype the password. If something is using wifi like I heart radio or pandora or an update is downloading, it won't switch off the wifi, but in any other circumstance if the screen locks up and goes to sleep, when I unlock it I will need to reselect my network and retype the password. I have been dealing with this for months and have googled several times for a solution with no success. I'm pretty sure that when I was first setting up the wifi, I changed some setting on either the phone or the
router, but of course I can't figure out what I might have done. Please help!I read the article thanks. I tried the settings-general-reset-reset network settings-reboot system-go to wifi settings-select wireless connection-select the ">"-symbol-select auto for http proxy. I was optimistic about that because I thought I changed some setting somehow to cause this problem, but it didn't work. More specifically, I did connect successfully and browsed the Internet for a good while, but then I put down the phone for a minute, the phone went into sleep/power save mode, and when I picked it back up a moment later it was no longer connected. Dang. Had to select the connection and use my password yet again.
Another valuable bit of info for you. The only network with which I have this problem is my home. I use all kinds of devices at home and no other devices have this problem. Also, I use this iPhone all over with various wifi networks at hotels and starbucks and family's homes with no issues whatsoever. It remembers and automatically reconnects with every wireless network except the one in my own house. -
