I have opened my iTunes account when bought iPhone. When I tried to sync the iPhone with the Mac to download info. did not recognize my previous ID. I have to create a new ID and enter a new credit account. Now, I am trying to update the iTunes previous purchases and requested to buy it again. This is because it is new ID and new credit card. What can I do to fix this?

Purchases are tied to the iTunes account they were purchased with.
You can add it to your iTunes library and authorize your computer with his iTunesID.

One computer iTunes can support multiple Apple IDs. One iPod can also support multiple IDs. Don't do an "erase and sync." Simply add your Apple ID to the computer's iTunes and to the iPod. The only nuisance is app updating, especially if you do the updates from the computer, rather than from the iPod.

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it. -

Yes, you can use the apps from both accounts on the same iPad. You will both need to authorize each others iTunes account for use in each others computer account. You may authorize up to five Macs/PCs to use stuff from your account and that computer can then transfer the stuff to up to 10 iOS devices.
Open iTunes in your account and have your wife sign into her iTunes account in the iTunes app. First authorize your computer account to use her iTunes stuff from the iTunes Store menu. Then have your wife download all of the iOS apps that you want to use into iTunes. Now you do the same in her computer account.
Remember that only you can update apps acquired with your iTunes account and vice versa. So you will need to either sign into iTunes on the computer or directly on each others iPad to update any apps that need it. It is a little confusing at first, but you get the hang of it quickly. -

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

They need to be registered under different Apple ID's. The initial Apple ID is set when you first start the phone up. If you've already registered the phone to the iTunes account, back it up to your computer, and then have iTunes do a factory reset. Go to www.icloud.com, log in with your current Apple ID, select "Find My iPhone," choose the iPhone you want to dissociate from your primary Apple ID from the upper left, and then click the little circled X ("remove").
When you start the phone, it will have you go through the setup process again, at which time you need to create a unique Apple ID for the device. You can then restore it from your iTunes backup to get back your apps and other settings.
Whenever you use the iTunes store, use the login information (Apple ID and password) that you were using before. Basically, the second Apple ID that you created is purely used for accessing iCloud services, which includes synchronization of contacts, iCal events, and other such things. -

In order to continue to play and sync the music you purchased with your old account, you'll need to authorize your new computer/iTunes library to do so. You can do this by choosing Store -> Authorize This Computer and then entering in your old account credentials.
That's all you should need to. Then just create your own account and start purchasing and using it the same you have with the old one.

By the way, and iTunes account is really the thing you use online to purchase music, not what you have on a computer. You have user accounts on a computer, and you have iTunes libraries or collections of media. You can have multiple user accounts on a computer. You can have a single or multiple user accounts use a single or multiple libraries. We need to know exactly what it is you have/want. -
I have Itunes set up to sync with my Ipod touch and Ipad. As of today, iTunes has started searching to sync with an iPhone, which I don't have and pops open with an error message stating it cannot locate the iPhone to sync. I have looked in devices and only the iPad and iPod Touch are listed. Any ideas on how to stop iTunes from searching for any iPhone it is never going to find? It is annoying to have it popping up all the time with the error message. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -

Highlight the movie, go to iTunes menu ADVANCED and select create iPad and AppleTV version.

Have an older 17 MacBook Pro, running OS 10.5.8. Software update says everyting is current. Mac doesn't have iCloud, preferences still shows MobileMe. Just bought new iPhone 5S. sounds like your phone was hacked to work with your carrier. Now it is relocked to the rightful carrier. It cannot be reactivated without a SIM from that carrier.
