The apps have to be installed on the Mac and iOS devices in order to open and moodify the documents.
Why purchase again? iWork apps for Mac OS X are not the same as iWork apps optimized for iOS devices. Two different operating systems.

Note that the Lion installer deletes itself after installation, so copy the installer before you install Lion on your main machine.

OK, this is the first time I have used this so I may not have started correctly, so here goes another try. I opened a Numbers Document and noticed the presentation was different from when I worked it before. Since there have been a number of auto updates since I had worked in Numbers, I assumed I had an updated program. I found it hard to figure out so I closed the document and went on to other things. When I went back to it I found a message saying I needed a newer version of the program to open it. Fortunately, the document was backed up and when I opened the backup it came in my familiar form. I have not purchased the new version of Numbers but suspect that is what was using for that brief period yesterday. Anyone know haw that happened?

In System Preferences > App Store you can turn off the automatic updates by unchecking "Install app updates" as I've done here:
If you're using Numbers across platforms and displaying dynamic output on the iPad or doing data entry there, you'll be *much* happier with Numbers 3.0 than the old version. If you're doing a lot of traditional printing of heavily formatted documents, the old version is much better. For most day-to-day uses in between it's a toss-up. The new version, despite its flaws, is a powerful application that can enhance productivity in ways the old version can't.

The Font is fine for pringingMac's don't have UI scale options like Windows has.
Either you can drop the screen resolution in Displays a wee bit and make things appear distorted, or do what I do and use the Universal Access and set a control key, then use a mouse wheel/scroll to zoom in and out where the mouse is pointed.

Unfortunately you have to buy this apps on your iPad. These are different apps from their similar on Mac.
Although, if you buy them on your iPad, you'll can download for free on your iPhone/ipod Touch.
iPad/iPhone bought after september/2013, has received iWork for free. If you have yours earlier than this, so you need to pay these apps. -
I have purchased the ios 3.1 update for my 1st generation iPod Touch, but cannot get it to download. When I check the summary on iTunes, it says that I have the most up-to-date version of 2.1. Okay so I set up my Time Capsule already and is now backing up 2 of my iMacs. Works great. What I want to know is how to use the TC to directly store files? I want to do this to delete some files on iMac 20inch but still have them on the TC for future reference..eg some movies on iTunes. I want to directly save them on the drive so I can delete them from iTunes and gain some storage. (Ps on iMac 20 inch (it's almost full - 320 GB) when I enter time machine, a tab comes up on finder which reads "Time Machine backups" it's able to be ejected like a disc or a connected device. On the iMac 20 inch, I dragged some files onto there as if using it like a hard drive. Is this the correct method? Then I went to my 27inch iMac and saw the "Time Machine Backups" hoping to see the files I dragged from the 20inch iMac. But the files were not there except a folder that said "Backups.backupdb". Can someone help me?
It's not a good idea to use a network disk for both Time Machine backups and other things. By design Time Machine will eventually consume all the space on its output disk, which will then cause problem for your other files. I'd store those other files on an external disk connected to the Time Capsule. The problem with that is that Time Machine will only back up files that are local to your Mac. That means that you'll only have one copy of the files on or attached to your Time Capsule.

You can use the same Apple ID for both phones, you would then be able to use the purchased Apps/Content on both phones without having to pay again.

Every time I click the "back" button, Firefox reloads the previous page I was on. How do I disable the reload and have Firefox display the cached/prior page version? The whole point of going "back" is to see what we were just looking at.. I don't want a refreshed version of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am running version 3.6.12.

My Itunes will not launch after downloading and I have tried all the troubleshooting for itunes for Windows 7 64-bit. Do I need to system reboot my computer than try to download it again?
I'm having a very similar issue, paired with iTunes not being able to get online.
iTunes shows up in processes and then hangs at 17,000 K or so -- sometimes it will start up, but that (if it occurs) is a delay of literal hours.
Pretty meticulously went through all the 'cannot connect' trouble shooting, and have uninstalled, restarted, and then reinstalled every piece of apple software; issue is just as firm. Starting in safe mode or admin mode don't fix it; signing in as a different user doesn't fix it.
