Either by decreasing playback quality from HD to SD or HD 1080p to 720p.
Sounds as though your internet (like mine( is not fast enough for instant playback.
AppleTV need to buffer the video if internet speeds are below:
8 Mbps for 1080p
6 Mbps for 720p
2.5 Mbps for SD

I'm running OS 10.6.8 on a MacBookPro that is fairly old.
The mouse is detected on the USB port, either one, but the red light won't light anymore so I can't use it to move the cursor. I've tried rebooting, I've tried the cammand-option.P.R thing. Still no red light.

I took both of them to work and both worked fine in a different Mac laptop. I brought home two other mice and they both work here in my home computer. That works, but I wish I knew why the first two don't work at home because the logitec mouse I bought for home has very light action and the center wheel needs only a very light touch. To set the default boot volume use the Startup Manager system preferences once you are booted back into the OSX. Then you would only need the option key at boot time to boot into the "other" OS.

Did you download them direct to your IPad or to your computer. If so unless you have synced your iPad with your computer since you downloaded they are still on your Ipad unless you deleted them or if they were rentals the time ran out.
To check on your iPad launch the iPod APP on your Ipad if a movie listing does not show then click on the iPad button under your library list column and it should then show your movies etc
Or launch the Video App and look for them there
if you have downloaded them on your computer they will show up in iTunes the cartoons i suspect will show under TV and the Movie under Movies.
A rented item expires 30 days after you rent it or 24 hours after you begin playing it, whichever comes first. Expired rentals are deleted automatically. After you transfer a rental to your iPad etc, it is removed from your iTunes library.
Outright puchases are obviously yours to keep.

The charger block is universal and is able to handle multiple votages. One hour to reach 50% seems fine to me if the phone was completely flat to start with. Just leave it on charge for as long as it takes to reach 100%. I leave mine connected overnight all the time and it does not harm the battery

I have the same problem. It only started a few days ago. When I make or receive calls I have to use speaker otherwise I can't hear a thing. I'm also pretty sure that when I try to make calls without the speaker turned on, it doesn't actually dial, but the display says it has.
I've tried restoring from a backup with no luck. I'm reluctant to restore as a new phone as it's such a pain.

Usually in the iTunes menu there is an option call 'rentals' where rented movies sit until they expire, this is no longer visible. The movie files are listed in the finder under music/movies.... With the rest of my iTunes data, but they will not play in iTunes from there and I can't add them to my library for watching.
The only thing I am currently doing differently is that I have just subscribed to iTunes Match; would this affect my rentals?

Under your Library list, you should see "Movies". Click on that, and you will see a screen with several tabs at the top - Rentals, Unwatched, Movies, Genres, Home Videos, etc.
As Hackintosh indicated above, click on the Rentals tab, and your movies will be displayed there. Doulbe click on one to start playing it.
If you do not have your sidebar showing, go up to View at the top, and click on Show Sidebar. Then you will see your Library lists on the sidebar, which will include Movies.
