Plug your iPhone 5 into your Leopard Machine.
Fire up iPhoto.
The phone should become available in iPhoto, and then you can import the camera roll.

Then it's not my advice.
There are two very important things about this.
• NEVER - move or alter any folder named iMovie Events or iMovie Projects on DeskTop/Finder - at all !
All changes must take place inside the iMovie Application - else connections break ! and iMovie can't find them.
Move Events and Projects back and hope that they will be found.
• The external hard disk - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange works for most BUT NOT FOR VIDEO - not for iMovie nor FinalCut.

Bought New Computer - Don't Care About Taking Songs
I bought a new computer and would like the new one to be the host for itunes and software for my IPOD. I have all songs backed up on an external hard drive, approximately 30 gigs or so keeping existing songs or transfering as they are is not the issue. How do I tranfer my ipod to a new computer and reinstall all my songs on the ipod through the new computer? Is there a way to format my Ipod and wipe clean and just do a new install?

Yes there is, you can restore your iPod on the new computer. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7 -
Question: I have just bought an iPod Nano to replace my previous one which "died" My computer does not recognize the new iPod and only shows it in devices and printers. I cannot sync my existing iTunes to the new iPod, there is no way I can do it. Any help please?

It sounds like your iPod is not recognized in either Explorer, or in iTunes on your PC. That can be frustrating, expecially when its a new device. I recommend you use the following article to help resolve that issue named:

I have an old iPod Classic with 80 GB (I think) of space. I saved all my songs in an external hard drive, but the iTunes library resided in an old computer (no longer working). Can I get the library from my iPod and use it in my new computer (Windows)?

I am running Yosemite and have just bought Pro Tools Express with the intent to Upgrade to Pro Tools 11. Pro Tools Express is not compatible with Yosemite and will not install. How can I get this done?

i tried transferring my iphoto library from my old macbook onto my new macbook pro (via external hard drive), but when i open the new iphoto, it seems to have transferred ALL images ever used on my old macbook. so i tried to just delete all those images so i could try a different approach to transferring, but the new iphoto won't let me do anything and every time i try to delete anything it crashes (since the image amount is so high). please help!!

Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else. -
I have a just bauht a new laptop as my old one was packed up. I use my external hard drive to store all my itunes music. I had baught a few albums on itunes . I attached my external hard drive and consoldated them to my external hard drive but my itunes is all in icloud not only that my ipod does not have the new tracks that I baught on it. What do I need to do. all I want is when I attached my external hard drive that itunes knows this and that they dont be in icloud and that my ipod puts my new albums on to it.
Did you put the library on the external drive, or just the media folder. See this migrate iTunes library post for the way this ought to be done and recovery tips for when it is no longer possible.

Sounds as though your internet (like mine( is not fast enough for instant playback.
AppleTV need to buffer the video if internet speeds are below:
8 Mbps for 1080p
6 Mbps for 720p

When I bought the new (used) iMac, I also bought an external hard drive for backups. It worked fine, but my husband stole it.
Then I bought a new external hard drive (Seagate) and it worked fine for three weeks, then died.
So I just got a new external hard drive, which was put together from an internal hard drive and a hard drive enclosure.
Time machine did the first backup today, and it should have taken 9 hours like it did on the previous first time full back up. Instead, it took 30 minutes. That can't be right. I want to start over and do a full backup to make sure everything gets onto my new external hard drive, but I can't figure out how to do that. my hard drive crashed on my MacBook Pro crashed and I need to get my CS5 up and running on the new hard drive. I copied what I could onto an external hard drive but when I drag and drop I get directions to uninstall but the uninstall folder I have does says it is an alias that is no longer present. If you subscribed to iTunes match the songs are kept in icloud. If you didn't but you did save the actual iTunes library folder which should include the music, video, etc. you should be able to just drag this file back to your machine in the same place and when you open iTunes it will give you a chance to identify the iTunes library folder.
You can test this to find out if you saved the media files or not and don't need to attach your nano to do it.
You are correct that once you connect the nano it will clear the existing files from it and sync it with the new iTunes library.
If you don't have the media files i'm not sure if/how to get them back on a windows ipod. I have everything backed up regularly because of the horror stories I have seen & heard.
