My mistake, it was nothing to do with format. It woldn't sync because my movies were HD. HD movies won't sync to an iopd classic 160 GB but when you purchase a HD movie, itunes gives you a SD vervsion of the movie which is compatible with the ipod. Just needed to go to store, click movies, click purchased and untick the HD box and there you have the SD versions. Download the SD versions and then sync your ipod and bobs you uncle, movies are on the ipod

I had a similar problem right after the first update to 10.6.7, which happened to quite a few people. It took a couple of software updates and then an HP printer update to fix it. So make sure that all your software updates are up to date. Mine is an older printer: C6280 All-in-one but scans fine now that my mac recoginises it. You might want to check on the HP site also.
It was really frustrating because it had worked fine before.

Sorry, no. The SyncKey is used for encryption / decryption during the Sync process, without the Sync Key that was used to encrypt your personal data as it was uploaded to the Sync storage server your data is worthless. Plus, when you generate a new Sync Key for an existing account, all the data that is saved on the server for that account is deleted for your security.
Do you still have the old HDD? It may work long enough for you to extract your Firefox data, if you put that drive in a USB drive enclosure and access it as an external drive. <br />

i previously had 21.97 Gb music, over 6 Gb photos, about 1Gb of apps, and minute amount of audio
now i have no music, 5.4 Gb photos and similar (0.8Gb) for apps and audio. i have deleted heaps of photos and unused apps to try to make space but obviosly this is a much bigger problem. I also created a smaller music folder on itunes to sync to but at present no music is selected for syncing due to the lack of available space.
i have 15Gb icloud account now also which is about half full.
Ive done a little research and heard similar tales but with much smaller other totals than this. Can you help?

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

Somehow I applied Autofill options to all websites and it is interferring with creating a label in USPS. How do I get rid of it?

I had found the Autofil area (can't remember exactly where I found it) and must have entered my own information. But now when I go on the USPS website, it Autofils my own information in the TO: section. Even though I take the information out, and put in the correct information, when I click to go to the next screen, it won't advance and goes back to telling me that there is an error on the page. I have already contacted their tech support, and they told me it is not a problem with their site. So it has to be the autofil function that is messing me up. But I can't figure out how to get back to the "cleared" state. Thanks for any help in advance.

I just want something SIMPLE without tons of forms to figure out and fields and how do I want this app applied in which situations. Too much complexity for daily use. I would have to hire a "techie" to work my way through that. I was dealing with the tech support on USPS for MONTHS before someone finally tried my account on their computer and discovered that the site worked, it was not my cache or cookies, for history that needed to be cleared. They told me to contact Firefox because there was an incompatibility issue. So that is what gave me the clue to start looking at what settings on my computer could be the culprit. Then I looked at what was happening and that gave me the clue that it was Autofil.
So I went in and cleared enough so that I could work the label for that day. But apparently, there was still a default there, because today I had the same problem, thereby causing my question on this site.
I never had this problem with the other Autofil design, because it only worked when I was on a site and chose to implement the function.
I just want some thing that simple again. Do you have any pull with app designers at Mozilla?

I am trying to install a Hungarian Keyboard but there is no option for an extra key next to the left shift button. My mum wants to use the keyboard so I need all the corresponding keys to type what it says. When I plug the keyboard in it says "unknown keyboard please press the unidentified key left of the left shift button" this key is the hungarian letter í. I check the input sources and there is no option for a hungarian keyboard with the í key next to the left shift button. if i select the normal key when I press the button, I get 0 and when I press the 0 I get í. Is there a way to set up your own keyboard form scratch or do I have to use the inbuilt mac keyboard layouts?

If you open your 'system preferences', then click on the 'keyboard' option, then the 'input sources' tab you can then add new keyboards by clicking on the plus button at the bottom of the window. You will then be presented with a drop down list of keyboard layouts.

Does Firefox offer a link to search for the plugin? That may lead to some useful information.

"Current browser"? When viewing anything, or just when using an APEX app?
Ans .. Just when using apex app....even if the apex app is minimised ..The current browser will be the one where I am using apex app...
What i am looking for some scheduler .. to check ..in the table every 5 minute for change if there is a change..then a popup alert be shown...
Split it into [at least] 2 components, database and browser. I'd expect someone calling themself a "DBA Architect" to have some ideas about the database side of things, even if not clued up on JavaScript and AJAX?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Installing iTunes does not cause content to magically appear on the computer.
Your media is only where you put it.
iOS devices are not backup devices.
Copy the media from the old computer to the new computer.
