I have just installed Itunes 11.0. When itunes creates a *.AAC file, does it put it in the same directory as where my .wav files are located?

I have an iPod Touch 64gb. I have 149 gb of .wav or similar format music. I have created a music library with the latter. How can I convert this library
into .AAC format so that the syncing process will be seamless? Should I create a new folder for the .wav files and put the .AAC files into
a subfolder in the itunesmedia folder? If so, how do I get itunes to put these files in that folder?

If you've just moved the drive between systems then see Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows just in case that reveals the missing files. Apply to a single album folder first as a test. Otherwise, if you've not done too much with the drive since things went missing, an undelete tool might recover the lost media. FreeRecover looks promising... Select the drive, use the options to get file paths and check file integrity, then, presumably, you can restore anything that has been deleted that looks recoverable. Backup to another drive when you're done.

I just installed itunes 10 and all it does when i open it is show me the software agreement, and if I click "accept" or "decline" it closes and does nothing else. It does the same thing when i try to play music on it. (By the way, I have Windows XP SP3.)

Purchases are tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. If you use a new ID, you have to buy again.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Cannot choose account on startup. I have just installed MAMP. Even when MAMP turned off I hae the same problem

Since installing MAMP I cannot click on the drop down for choosing accounts. It seems to have frozen. MAMP can be on or off. It makes no difference.

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

I have just installed prem elements 9 onto a new PC and it will not open any of the old projects

When I try to open any of the previous projects or any video file it comes up with the error message that the file format is not supported or the codex missing,. the same file will open OK on the old PC. This probems occurs for all video formats.

Without more information I can't say for sure, but:
1) You'll need to ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime installed in order to work with the MTS files from your Canon. Then start a new project and set it up for Full AVCHD video. When you do this the program will automatically install the necessary codecs.
2) As for the AVI, it could be an MJPEG AVI, which is an iffy file to edit in Premiere Elements. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Installing the software that came with the camera can help.

I have just invested in an iMac but when it has sync'd my calendar from my phone all my events are appearing one day earlier. I have checked the time zone and set it to Apple Europe. It sounds like your events synced to your computer from the phone and they are all an hour out of sync. I recommend verifying that time zone support is turned on with your iCloud calendar if you are using iCloud:
Use a time zone other than the default
In iCloud Calendar, choose Preferences from the Action pop-up menu below the sidebar.
Click Advanced, select “Enable time zone support,” then click Save.
With time zone support on, a “time zone” pop-up menu appears when you create an event, letting you set any time zone you want.
You can also reset the default time zone for your calendars (and their events) at any time.

If not, I would verify that your iPhone date and time are set correctly with the correct time zone support information:

Scroll down to Calendars.
Tap Time Zone Support.

Hi, I had the same problem with my iPod nano 7th generation. I found the answer on another forum. Apple support instructs to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. However, you must uninstall ALL Apple software, then install iTunes. I rebooted in between steps (i.e. uninstalled all Apple software, rebooted, installed iTunes, rebooted). iTunes now recognizes my iPod again.

It means that you have already lost all the info that was on the phone. If you backup regularly you can restore from that backup. If you do not backup regularly your data is gone.
