HT3951 I have the LDS Jigsaw Puzzles game ap downloaded to my 1st generation I-Pad. This morning, I made a purchase of an additional puzzle picture pack through the app. How can I get the purchase to download?

How can I get this paid-for purchase to download? Ever since making the purchase from within the app on the I-Pad, it has been stuck on the screen with "Please Wait" showing. I can leave the app and run other apps, when I return it is still on that same screen. It took 11 hours from the purchase time until I received a receipt in my e-mail. I had the screen active on that for close to 1 hour following the purchase, then had to go to a different location; I was not at home at the time. I have tried to get it to complete here at home for over 1 hour and tried to find the purchase in the I-Tunes store from my laptop computer, and get a report that all purchases have been downloaded.

This morning, I did a power down and reboot of the I-Pad, that got the "Please Wait" resolved. I then tried clicking on the additional picture set and it did download and install, so the problem is now resolved.

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.

It has been this way since Aperture 3.3. It is not bug, but a feature. New designed icons to fit in with the grey design of Lion and Mt. Lion.
And sorry, there is no built-in option to restore the colorful look of previous Aperture version.

You will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to your computer (that will copy PDFs and epubs that are in the iBooks app, not just actual ibooks), and you can then sync them to your iPhone. Or you might be able to open each PDF in iBooks on your iPad and use the share icon to email them to yourself and then use 'open in' in the Mail app on your iPhone to copy them to its iBooks app (if the PDF is protected then you may not get the email option via the share icon).
The Settings > iBooks > Sync Collections setting doesn't copy items between devices, it just means that it a bookor PDF is on both devices and you move it into a collection on one device then it will be moved into the same collection on the other device

How are you trying to listen to it ? You shouldn't need to be online to listen to it, I don't for any of mine. If you've downloaded it directly on your iPad (or synced it from your computer) then it should be in the Music app (you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button in the Music app when you have audiobooks on it) - is that where you are trying to listen to it ?
