I just purchased a new macbookpro and I would like to put the music from my iphone to my macbook. I have downloaded from iTunes, however it want to add ALL music to my macbook.
When you plug in the iPhone, go to the menu bar and select "Transfer all purchases" to move them to your MacBook Pro.
If that doesn't work. Go here for a whole list of Apps that can help you.
I personally like Music Rescue the most. You can get it here and use the License Key that they give out for FREE now. -

iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library. -

To have EVERYTHING on your New computer...
From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
Full Details Here > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
An Added Bonus is that you will have a Backup of iTunes. -
I have just purchased a new iMac and this is all new to me as it is so different from my PC. I am trying to transfer my iTunes from my PC onto the iMac, I have got as far as pasting the itunes music folder onto the desktop but I cant seem to transfer that into iTunes on my iMac. Can anyone help me out with this?

I have just purchased a new macbook and need to sync my iphone with itunes, i understand that you can only sync your phone with one itunes account. I do not want to wipe my iphone when syncing with this new itunes account. Any advice welcome
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it. -

I have just purchased a new iMac and have uninstalled cs6 from my old iMac. Do I just install CS6 as normal or do I need a new code. My licence is for one user
Yes, just install as you normally would using the serial number you originally used.
You did not have to uninstall on the old machine - with your single user license you are allowed to have two activated installations. So feel free to reinstall it if those are the only two machine you plan to have it on and you'd like to have a backup installation. -
I have an Iphone 4s and have just gotten a new computer. I would like to transfer my contacts, photos etc. from my Iphone to my new computer so that when I need to sync my phone I will retain everything just as it is now on my Iphone. At the moment, when I try and sync my computer states that I will lose everything on my Iphone. Please help someone, I have too much on my phone to lose it. Thanks
The iphone is not a backup device. Everything should be on your computer.
Copy everything form your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -
I have just purchased a new iPad with Wi-Fi and retina display and an iPad mini with the same and am awaiting delivery. Just purchased a new pc with windows 8. Transferred over my itunes. With 2 different albums in my library, when I attempt to play this music I get a message saying my computer is not authorized. I then sign in to authorize the computer, itunes tells me it is indeed authorized, I attempt to play this music again and I get the same "your computer is not authorized" message again, and again....
Any help out there on this one would be appreciated. If my question is not clear enough I will attempt to help.
Thank you,
mikeDelete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.

As the title says - how do I o this and what do I stand to lose?
I have backed up on the new mac and have everything linked to the cloud.
ThanksI want the mac to be the main machine for my iTunes account - it won't sync as it is not the main computer.
I understand that you only have one computer as your primary PC ??
Basically I just want the new mac to be central to everything but want music apps etc there from my iPad and have read you can lose data hence question. -
The i pod will synch purchased songs to the new library but that would mean losing most of my songs. I tried home share but that only showed the purchased songs too.
I would lie to un-synch the old laptop, de-authorise it and remove i tunes altogether as i want to give it away.
How do i un-synch a library to a particular pc and re synch it to the new one? That's not how it works. Authorising is for music purchased from iTunes, not for music you've imported from CDsor elsewhere. Music purchased form other suppliers would also not be subject to this authorising procedure.
Do you still have the old computer? If so, you need to copy the iTunes Library from that to the new computer. For example, in Windows XP, I would copy the My Music folder (which contains the iTunes Library, my Amazon MP3 purchases and album artwork) and put that onto an external drive. Then move the drive to the new computer and copy the copied folder onto the new machine thereby replacing the new machine's My Music folder. Then tell iTunes to look at the imported Library.
Obviously, you need to take into account that you have Windows 7 (where I assume the folder names may be different), any other places on you old machine where songs are located and so on. -
How do I move my copy of elements from one laptop to another ? It was purchased on line so I do not have any discs.
