lost ratings from itunes libarary following transfer to new mac book pro

You'll find the library files there.
iTunes Library Extras.itdb
iTunes Library Genius.itdb
iTunes Library.itl
iTunes Music Library.xml
THOSE files contain your Library information, and the need to be moved to the same folder on the new Mac.

Buy an external optical drive such as the Apple USB SuperDrive that is made specifically for that model.
Use the optical drive of your old MBP to clone the DVDs to USB flash drives, then install from the flash drives.
Connect both computers to your local network and then share the optical drive to install the software. -
Hi I have just bought a new Mac Book Pro 15" Retina display with 256 SSD and 8G RAM. I had my info transferred form my Previous Mac Book Pro late 2011 to this machine. I just bought a new Mac Book Pro and did a migration of the content of the old laptop (also a Mac Book Pro) to the new one. Now I cannot start Photoshop CS6. When I am starting it I have a window "Adobe photoshop CS6 extended" opening requesting a connexion. When I am entering my password for the connexion the software crashes. How can I fix the problem?

iPad apps will not run on a Mac.
iPads use the iOS operating system. Macs use the OS X operating system. Apps for one won't run on the other.
The most that you can do is store the content on your iPad in the content libraries of iTunes for Mac. You can play the music, movies, TV shows, and podcasts from the iPad using iTunes on the Mac. As well as, read iBooks from the iPad in iBooks for Mac.

If you've got 5 computers authorised for the account in question, and you need to free up authorizations, I'd do a "Deauthorize All" from one of the computers you have access to, and then reauthorize the computers you have access to.

I can't seam to get the migration to work between my g4 running 10.4 with all the upgrades including migration assistant 1.0.6 to talk to my new Pro.

iCloud does the job for you. Both your iPhone and your Mac should have asked you to enable it during their first setup. See -> http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
You do not have to create a new Apple ID for your MacBook Pro. If you do that, you may have problems syncing your purchases.
