    you run speed test on your network. But never mind that. even with knowledge of that speed and size of that backup, I will not give you precise numbers, so here is an example - if your ISP is DSL and size of the backup is 1 Gb - backup may take overnight. If your network cable- way faster, but I have seen backups over 20 gigs. Your backup size is way bigger then one.

    Depends on what method you chose to restore, wifi or itunes. Speed of internet and of computer. Whether you're restoring to factory settings or from a backup. There are many factors involved.
    Without knowing any other info, I would plan on anywhere from 30min. to 2hrs

    Wow.......You plug the 30 pin connector to the botton of your iPad and the USB to the USB port on your computer.
    But first, you can download the movie and books to your iTunes account without having your iPad connected.  After you've downloaded the material, then you connect your iPad and sync it all over.
    I'm sorry I have to sign off.  I have to be up like 6 hours.  I'll check in tomorrow and see if you made any progress. 
    If nothing else, this will get your iPad and your iTunes account speaking again.  They should be regularly connected and your iPad routinely backed up. 
    One more thing.  If it's been a while since you even opened iTunes on your PC, make sure you check for iTunes downloads and update iTunes with the latest version.

    I need a replacement for my iPod mini, and even though my Apple account information clearly states that it is still covered under the one-year warranty, they requested that I fax them a proof of purchase. I finally managed to get a credit card printout from Best Buy and I just faxed it to them earlier today, but my online repair status still says "pending review of proof of purchase." How long does it take for Apple to review the proof of purchase? Time is running out and my warranty expires on July 6th.

    You need to drop the Logic Pro x icon into applications, this will then install onto the machine, once installed click on Logic Pro X icon, application will start to download in a matter of minutes, the blue bar will be visible showing the download progress.
    When the application is fully installed you can then download all the additional instruments if required.

    You have had good information here. I will not repeat that here.
    I would like to add:
    you have incompatible software: start in SafeMode, read Woodmeister and see if it is free of issues.
    Akamai is crap software needed or not, Huawei the same.
    It is very possible that the keygenerator you used for generating a key for some softwares has infected your mac.
    The non-regular software with the false key(s) are not compatible probably or generate malware. Luckily you can not update them automatically because the keygenerator blocked the software for contacting the developer... I propose to consider getting rid of those softwares by really good uninstalling.
    You have a beautiful mac, don't degenerate it with crapped software. There are alternatives for expensive software, for example Adobe Photoshop has a free alternative (with a less beautiful interface) in GIMP. And so on.

    How long TimeMachine will take is a function of: 1) how frequently you back up, 2) how much free space the backup drive has, and 3) how the drive is connected to the computer.
    1) the longer you wait between backups increases the data that has to be backed up and it also increases the preparation time. Letting more than a couple days between backups elapse isn't a good idea to begin with - who wants to try and redo 3 days of work - but it also seems to take longer than three daily backups.
    2) when your backup drive becomes too full, TimeMachine must 'look through' the oldest files and delete enough to make room for the newer files. This can take a very long time.
    3) backing up over WiFi to a networked drive or TimeCapsule is the slowest backup method and when you have lots to back up it can take a very long time. If your connection speed isn't good it gets worse. For all the advantages that a TimeCapsule appears to have, this alone was enough to make me rethink the idea.
    With a 17 day estimate I'm guessing you must be using a TimeCapsule.

    Ah, at the authoring stage. Thank you.
    That will depend on several factors: the Duration of the Timeline, the Source Footage on that Timeline, and then the speed of the computer.
    In the intital authoring phases, the biggest bottleneck will be the CPU's speed, and the installed RAM, when it comes time to write the Transcoded files, just before the actual burn, then the I/O (HDD's, controller type, speed, etc.) will be the biggest bottleneck. Once everything is ready for the burn, then it's just up to the speed of the burner and the blank media used, but that is a tiny part of the total time.
