I have just purchased two iPhone 5s - one has an annoying rattle and one does not. After lots of research many seem to have the same problem. Does anyone know what Apple say about the problem?

iOS 4.2.1 is the most recent, and probably last, version that an iPhone 3G can run. If you need apps that require IOS 4.3 or later, you're stuck. You should have purchased an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S, all of which can run iOS 5.

If you purchased it from Apple or an authorized Apple reseller, it's genuine.
If not, it is very likely to be counterfeit and dangerous to use. Counterfeit power adapters often bear fraudulent consumer product safety markings. It is difficult or impossible to distinguish a genuine power adapter from a counterfeit from an exterior inspection, and inspecting its interior destroys the adapter.

Just a thought, but maybe consider returning the device. Seems it might be a bit too complicated for you.

Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -

when you open the app store scroll down to the bottom it will display the apple id currently in use, change it to your normal apple id email

I have aniCloud account apple id, linked to a MobileMe address (which I converted to an iCloud account)
My wife just purchased an iPhone. She has her own Apple Id -- but it is linked to a gmail address.
I wanted to create a new iCloud email address and account for her, but the Mail Setup won't let us use .icloud and keeps referring her back to log into the gmail server.
How can we convert her gmail address to an icloud address if Mail Setup refuses to let her use icloud.com?
One other issue: Her iTunes are linked to my account, and my wife would like her own separate account.Actually, I want her to have a separate iTunes account. Our marriage is fine, but our musical tastes are vastly different That's another issue; right now want to focus on getting my wife in .icloud email address.

I have a Macbook Pro and have just purchased a GSP hidden objects game. It says on the box that it is compatible and when I try and install it it tells me that installation has been successful. However, it then says that PowerPC games not supported. Help?

the last version of Mac OS X which supported running PowerPC apps on Intel Macs was Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). If you’d like to play this PowerPC game on your Intel MacBook Pro, then you’ll need to install Snow Leopard on it and boot into Snow Leopard. (Note that the last MacBook Pro which natively supported Snow Leopard was the Early 2011 model.)
The game was almost certainly published before Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) was released, so back then, all versions of “Mac OS X 10.3 or higher” would have supported running that PowerPC game. -

This issue is more complex than some of the responses you have gotten are indicating. You definitely should avoid Norton, but there actually IS malware out there, and all anti-virus software is NOT "snake oil." Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise, as they don't know what they're talking about.
Although you should be able to do without anti-virus software just fine, there are some perfectly good reasons to install it and some good anti-virus apps to use if you decide to do so. Further, even if you do avoid anti-virus software, you need to understand what the threats are so you don't end up thinking you're totally safe and do something you shouldn't. -
I have just purchased a canon pima iX6550 . However I cannot locate the software or driver anywhere , including the installation disk . It keeps referring me to the manufacturer.
I believe the included disk had you go online to Canon and get updated drivers from there. This is important as the newest driver seems to have a fix for problems with the printer and OSX Lion.

1) Turn off Match, see if the items appear, then turn Match on again.
2) Drag the items from the Recently Added playlist to the library.
3) Wait until they do appear. -
I have just update my iphone 4 to iOS5 and it did all the usual restore stuff. The next time I connected to my Mac instead of syncing it started to restore again, thus locking my handset, any ideas?
This indicates corrupt files. A restore should resolve.

I have an iPhone which I added my email address as my apple ID. I have just purchased an iPad which I add my other email address by mistake and now I am unable to stream my photographs. I have tried to change my email on both devises but with out luck as it won't reconise my pass word. Any ideas
Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Tap the ID and sign out. Then sign in with your other ID.
If this isn't working, restart the iPad - AFTER you sign out of the ID and then sign in with the correct ID after the iPad restarts.
There is no reason why you should not be able to sign in with the ID that you are using on the iPhone and use that passord with that ID on the iPad.
