Mozilla Firefox Online Promo

Well it seems like a spam because Mozilla don't have an online promo.. There is a good way to differentiate spam from other emails.. Check the headers and it will show you the real source of the email.. Which is normally another non-mozilla email :)
Sincerely,
Ahmed N.

I have just received an email saying i have downloaded an app from another device.
This wasn't me, i have changed my password.
    What do i do now?

    Hi stirling r,
I have always been very weary of fake emails and can easily spot the ones that get through the spam filters but for the first time in my 25 plus years memory of using email, I though a fake email was genuine.
Ok, granted the email was supposedly from Apple so there's an implied level of trust there and I had updated my Apple ID details hours before, but it was only after doing a double take at the url link in the email I realised it was fake. It was pointing to an IP address (http://104.145.233.95/..etc) and not the usual https://www.apple.com/..etc.
I just wandered how may Apple users, especially new ones would have unwittingly compromised their Apple ID details by this scam.  I would love to see Apple doing more to make its users aware of scams directed at them.
    Hope this helps someone!

  • I have just received an email asking me to verify if I have used my account to spend 20$ which I have not, I've followed the link and am not sure if this is a hoax ?

I have just received an email asking me to verify if I have used my account to spend 20$ which I have not, I've followed the link and am not sure if this is a hoax ?

What does the email say, and is it personalised (e.g. does it have your name in the email or just something like 'dear customer') ? There are regular phishing emails trying to get account and payment details.
You can view your account's purchase history by logging into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, and you should see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases. If you are using an iOS device then you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com

  • HELP! I have just changed my email address ad now i cant sync my ipod with the new songs I have bought

when I changed my e-mail address and got a new computer so I have downloaded iTunes and it recognizes my iPod but when I have bought 3 new songs it wouldn't let me sync the songs onto my iPod. Have tried clicking 'transfer songs' but it wont work. I don't know what else to do these are really good songs AND I've paid for them and I need them for my work. Please help, thanks for anyone who does, lauren

So basically you are trying to sync your Nano on a new computer/iTunes library?  iPods are designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time.
To add new content to the iPod, you'll need to restore the iPod to factory settings in iTunes.  However, if you have content on your iPod that needs to be copied to iTunes first, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different ways to do this.

It's a scam (phishing) to try to get you to disclose your iCloud credentials.  Apple requests that you forward these to [email protected]

  • Ok, I just received an email...

I have just received an email saying...
    Dear iCloud User
You have to Update and verify your iCloud Email, For immediate access, please Click Here to validate your account to avoid email closure.

    iCloud Online (R)
I don't think this is a real email. I haven't clicked on the link or anything. Is this a real email? Or do I just ignore it?

It is a scam to obtain your personal info. Do not respond.

  • I've just received an email from 'Apple' saying that my apple id was used      to sign into iCloud on an iphone 5s.  I have an iphone 4.  It's asking me to sign in to confirm my details and change my password.  How do I know if this email is genuine?

I've just received an email from 'Apple' saying that my apple id was used to sign into iCloud on an iphone 5S.  I have an iphone 4.  It then asks that I 'click here' to confirm my details and change my password.  How do I tell if the email is genuine?

Apple will not ask you to click a link in an email. They may tell you to log in to your account to reset your password. Go to https://appleid.apple.com and log in if you ever want to change any information in your profile (or your password). And do not click the link I just posted; instead enter it into a browser.
You can verify the devices assigned to your account by going to https://icloud.com/find (again, don't click it), where you can see a list of devices registered to your Apple ID.
As a general rule, you should never click a link in an email or forum post without verifying it first. You can see where it goes without clicking it in most email programs and browsers by hovering your mouse pointer over it. On an iPhone you can check where it goes by holding your finger on the link (rather than just tapping it).

I have subscribed to Adobe Export PDF for one year and paid the fee per my credit card.  I just received an sms to inform me of the amount of R230.61 was deducted today by Adobe Systems Software.  If you have charged for another year, please cancel that service and refund me as I did not request renewal for another year.  I don't find this service very useful as documents converted to Word is not really usable when trying to do changes and amendments to the document.
    Please confirm.

  • HT4436 Just received an email from iCloud stating that my free upgrade was going to expire and decrease to 5, when I had been using 10+. What is this??

I just received an email from icloud stating that my free upgrade was going to expire and it would decrease to 5 (when I have been using 10+). What is this??

The actual amount of extra free storage varies depending on how much storage previous subscribers had.
If you do nothing your storage will dowgrade to 5GB so you should make sure you don't have more content than this.
If you want to continue with the increased storage by paying for it, please see

and expand 'How do I purchase my current plan?'.

You indicated the app was free so you could not have been charged for it.

  • Hi, I just received an email stating that my Apple ID was just used

Hi, I just received an email to my private gmail that my Apple ID was used  to buy an app from the Apple Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with my Apple ID. The link sent allegedly to cancel the transaction, requires my credit card details. Is it a spam? Thanks a lot in advance for the clarification

  • I just received an email...

I just received an email from iCloud customer care saying Dear User,
Your E-mail account has exceeded its limit
    UPDATE HERE
    Thanks.
I think it is very suspicious and I was just wondering if this a real email or do I just delete it. I have not clicked the link at all so I am not worried about that but I just think it is very weird.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

This one slipped right past iClod as legit.
    Even fooled Mail's junk filter.
I hardly ever use @me.com, if at all.
    I'm sticking with @mac.com.
