I have just updated my iPhone to iOS7.0.4 and when I connect it to my iTunes it says I have to restore my iPhone?
I updated my phone to the latest software and when I went to check if it had finished updating it asked me to connect to iTunes. I updated iTunes to the newest software too and then connected my phone. My phone stayed on the connect to iTunes screen and then it said I had to restore my iPhone because it was in recovery mode and I can't use my phone at all and I don't really want to restore my phone as I will lose everything as I haven't synced my iPhone for a while so I wont be able to get all data back.
i got corrupted file and it could not do update via iTunes for IOS 7.0.4. I did update directly from my iphone. It got through perfectly; however, ONLY apps that were on the first page could be seen. The rest of the apps was gone. Also, everything such as icon is magnified so big like 1/4 of the iphone 5s screen. omg a scary moment came !
I could not do anything even I tried to shut down by power button. so I had to hold the home button and power button toghether to force it shut down. It did shut down and restore to it normal condition as before. Good luck to all with new IOS 7.0.4 update.

Hello guys!!Pls help me if someone knows what should I do.my iphone was working perfectly so far but a couple of days ago it stopped charging.its not charging neither with the a/c adaptre nor with the usb through my pc.it says device not recognized..today I had my iphone switched off and tried to see if it was charging and actually it was!but it didnt show that it was actually charging(the battery icon with the bolt didnt appear..but after 3 hours it was fully charged..but this happens only when its awitched off..so i cant connect on itunes and i cant charge it while its turned on!!if someone knows pls help!!!!!!!!!!tnx a lot guys!!!
I actually had the same problem here you just have to change the cable, i dont know exactly why but i think its because when you have your phone swithced of then it doesnt need more electricity so if a little pass then you can charge it for a while and then the iphone will automaticly open again,, so just go an buy a new cable nothing to scared of

I have just updated my 4s to IOS7. and now my battery discharge is significantly increase. With my Iphone fully charged, the battery run out within 6 hours without using the phone at all. Would it be possible to get the IOS 6.1.3 back to my 4S?
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

I just updated my iPad to the new ios and now it won't let me use iCloud. I have been in my settings and it says I need to agree to the new t&c's but when I click to do it my device freezes. Any Idea what I can do as I can't download new app either
Sorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.
Maybe it's time to buy yourself a new iPod Touch. -

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with Touch ID. The following article provides some troubleshooting steps that may be helpful:

Resolving issues with Touch ID
1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iOS.
2. Ensure that your fingers and the Home button are clean and dry.*
Note: Cover the Home button completely. Don't tap too quickly, don't press down hard, and don't move your finger while Touch ID is scanning. Make sure that your finger touches the metal ring around the Home button.
3. If you are using a protective case or screen protector, it must leave the Home button and the surrounding ring completely unobscured. If it doesn't, remove the case or screen protector and try again.
4. Tap Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and verify that:
- iPhone Unlock or iTunes & App Store is enabled.
- One or more fingerprints have been enrolled.
5. If one finger isn't working, tap Edit in Settings > Touch ID & Passcode to delete and then reenroll the finger.
6. If that finger still isn't working, try enrolling a different finger.
7. If you are unable to enroll any of your fingers, take your iPhone 5s to an Apple Retail Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact AppleCare for further assistance.

I have just updated my iPad to IOS 8.1.3 when I now try to open the emails nothing comes up and then the app crashes and returns to the home page. What should I do?
Since yesterday morning about 11:00 I have been having TERRIBLE email problems on this iPad 3G. Email comes in (I hear the sound) but nothing displays -- no folders, no content, no nothing in e-mail. The blank email screen shows up and then disappears after about 10 seconds, taking me back to the Home Screen.
Right now, the only way I can see email on this device is to log onto AOL via the AOL app.
I have been doing a lot of online reading about the problem. It has to do with iOS 8.1.3 and it affects older iPads and iPhones. I'm having no problems on my iPod touch, which -- fortunately -- is so old it cannot update its iOS 6.
I waited to update the iOS on this iPad until iOS 8 was "mature." That was about 2 weeks ago.

I used disk permission repair to try to resolve this as well as a 'soft' restart. Still have a grayed-out mute checkbox in the sound section of system preferences.

I have just updated the i06 software for my iPad and it will not connect to my home wifi network - all my other devices are able to connect to my wifi network.
I have attempted all troubleshooting actions suggested and nothing has worked. I have restored my iPad network and factory settings - Please help - this is frustrating meyou have to set up your router to solve th problem. first find and write down the ipad mac address.
then log on to your router using your laptop or any device that can connect to router at 192.168.0.1 in your web browser. please check out my posting about how to resolve the wifi connection problem.
i think the ios6 update has reset the networking but if you set up the router then you should not have the same problem any more. -
Ok, so I have just updated my iPad2 to the latest OS and I have lost my paid magazine subscriptions. How do I re-establish the link so that I don't have to subscribe and pay all over again?? this is frustrating as I also had to reload alot of non-supplied apps (games mostly). I also lost all of my contacts content.
Put them back the same you did originally. Connect your iPad to your computer via USB and re-sync the music you want back to your iPad using iTunes.

What is your current iPhoto version, Anthony? And your MacOS X version? And what was the iPhoto version you upgraded from?

You say, you downloaded everything - did you download the Library upgrader? And did you install and run it? Was there any error message?
If your iPhoto library has been upgraded ny the upgrader, you should be able to upgrade it to your current iPhoto version by double clicking it to launch iPhoto on it. Have you tried that? What happens when you try?
One problem to check for - iPhoto may be unable to open your iPhoto library, if it is not on a dsk formatted MacOS X Extended (Journaled). Check the formatting of the drive with your iPhoto library.

1) restart your computer
2) once restarted, do not run anything else, except for launching iTunes manually
3) connect your devices to your computer

Until your phone number is verified and activated you won't be able to select it in Caller ID. (You will probably notice that it says "waiting for activation'" under iMessage.) This has been widely discussed in this forum and there is no one solution that works for everyone. If you search the forum for "iMessage waiting for activation" you'll get a number of posts on this; you may find a solution that will work for you. Some of these include:
Go to Settings>General>Date & Time, make sure Set Automatically is set to On.
Be sure you are able to send and receive messages.
Call your carrier to see if they are blocking premium texts or third party texts.
Also make sure in Settings>General>Date & Time that Set Automatically is turned to ON. If not turn it on then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Change the DNS servers on their wireless router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (these are Google's Public DNS servers) -
i tried to up date my i phone 4 to iOS 5 then it wiped my phone and now it tells me to connect to iTunes and that the iPhone is in recovery mode and when i connect it goes to preparing to install to iPhone but never goes any further how do i restore the phone
by reset option do you mean the DFU restore? worked for me, have you tried that?
if not - hold the lock and home button until the power down bar comes up. then hold the lock button for ten seconds - next continue to hold the lock button and press the home button for ten seconds - next release the lock button and hold the home button for 10 seconds. this should be done with the phone tethered. If done right and your itunes is configured as such, the phone will reload the drivers and start up itunes, and then prompt for a restore/update.
