I have latest lightroom 5 and was trying to install athentechs perfectly clear 2.0 plug in and when i tryed to add the zip file lightroom screamed at me error to fix this do i need to reinstall lightroom

It's cack - but then, I've never been a fan of images that look like the subject matter has just been hit by a nuclear detonation, and I've never aspired to "one click and done".
It used to come with Bibble/Aftershot Pro, and in all the years I used those converters, I didn't find a use for Perfectly Clear once. Admittedly they've expanded its function considerably since, but it's still a gimmicky "everything boosted to eleven" gadget.
Put it this way: Ken Rockwell's a fan!
All that said, it's probably better than Lr's "auto" functions. I suppose if you believe that a piece of software can guess what's best for an image better than what you can arrive at by using your own eyes, it might have merit, but "gimmick" sums it up for me.
