I have Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b) installed, but Installer says it can't determine the version.

Hi, this is weird.
I am trying to install a number of applications on to my MacBook Pro running 10.7.3.
The weird thing is packages that use the installer are telling me that I don't have a new enough OS to run their software. I can't even install Safari 5.1.4.
Anyways, when I look in the Installer's logs, I see six of the following errors:
Mar 26 01:05:28 MacBookPro Installer[17323]: IFJS: *** exception: TypeError: 'null' is not an object (evaluating 'my.target.systemVersion')
So it looks like to me that my OS is having difficulty figuring out what OS it is running.
I go to About this Mac under the Apple menu and it says 10.7.3, build 11D50b.
Any ideas on how to fix this, or what I might have done to cause this?
Could it be problems with the "b" build?
Cheers, Andrew.

Back up all data, then boot from your recovery partition (command-R at startup) and reinstall the Mac OS. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac didn’t ship with Lion, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
