I have lost my iPad. I fear it has fallen into wrong hands. How do I block access remotely?
I have lost my ipad at a supermarket. I fear it has been taken. I would like to retrace it and/or block access to it as soon as possible. I am not sure if I activated "find my ipad," before it was lost. It is linked and synced with my MacbookPro. It is wifi activated and has a micro simcard which is also acrive.
Go to icloud.com on your computer and see if you can locate it, as explaned here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442. It will only work if you have Find My iPad enabled, and it has a connection to the internet with your settings unchanged. You have the option to lock it or erase it remotely if it can be tracked (http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f0165). However, if you erase it you will no longer be able to track it.

Hi, I quitted Safari and press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons silmutaneously unti the Ipad turn off and on with the logo Apple appears but it has hanged on and fixed to the point. I do it again hold the Home and Sleep buttons silmutaneously and the Ipad turn off and on again with the Apple logo but it still is hanged on the same point. I have do it a few more time, it still hanged to the same point for few hours with no change (like picture):
I think my Ipad is fault now. I guess I must connect it to the computer with itune, or something. So my case is this: at the moment everytime I hold the Home and Sleep buttons the Ipad always off and reappear with the Apple logo and be hanged on (like the pic), and I need restoring my Ipad Safari bookmarks... so I guess I need using Itune or something to get back the Ipad then using Icloud or blah. Please guide me for the step, Im not sure if connect to PC, if any that my Ipad data would lost, or is there anyway that I also can get back Ipad Safari Bookmarks after connecting to PC, also the how using Icloud. The only way to "locate" the iPad is if you had previously turned on Find my iPad, in which case you could track it in iCloud - as long as the iPad is connected to a network and the thief hasn't wiped out the iPad and restored it to factory settings.
If you haven't activated Find, then all you can do is report it to the police and your insurance company. -

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries. -

I am sorry to hear that you lost your iPad Air 2. You will only see the last location if it has been off for less than 24 hours. Anything longer than that, it will not show up using the Find My feature. Take a look at the article below for more information.

Sorry to hear about your missing iPad. If you have iCloud and Find My iPad turned on, you can enable Lost Mode from iCloud.com:
If you can’t find your device, use Lost Mode right away to lock it with a passcode, display a custom message on the screen, and keep track of its location.

If you had "Find My iPhone" enabled in Settings > iCloud then you may be able to locate it. If not, you cannot locate it.
If it was enabled then you can try locating it via http://icloud.com on a computer or the App "Find My iPhone" on another iDevice. You can also tell your iPhone to "Play Sound", enter "Lost Mode", or "Erase".
Note: this will only work if your device is connected to a network and the device hasn't already been restored as new and/or "Find My iPhone" has not been disabled on it. Note: Disabling "Find My iPhone" is much more difficult in iOS 7/8.
If you think that your device was stolen rather than lost then you should report it to the police. In either case you should contact your carrier, change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

My iPad loses the sound aprox every 4 hours. When it happens somehow the camera recording function is also not working only Still picture. After restart everything works again. I reset to factory default and has reloaded from the backup same happens.
