I have lost my Iphone4 about 1 month ago in when i was in Mongolia. I use my apple ID for both my ipod and Iphone, but still now i am receiving some pictures and other info-s from my lost phone about that person who took mine. How can i solve this problem? Do you think i need to contact that person and negotiate? or Should i just leave this case and wait for next IPhone 5? One terrible thing is that i can't find my serial number. Any suggestions?

You can't use the IMEI number for tracking it, you can only potentially do that if you had Find My iPhone enabled on it - if you did then you can try locating it via http://icloud.com or the Find My iPhone app on another iOS device.
For the IMEI number, do you have you got the phone's box or have a backup of the phone on your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4061 ?
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

The only way to locate any lost/stolen iPhone is through Find My Phone. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.

Did you have a passcode lock on it? Or did you have restrictions enabled? If not, it is very possible someone has found it, simple disabled location services in settings, and is using it. If you did not secure it, anyone with it can do anything they want with it as it is when found.

I am using beta 4. I have lost the download helper icon. reloaded to no avail. tried deleting"extensions.ini,rdf. no avail

I have downloaded a fresh copy of downloaded helper. I followed the instructions on the forum for a similar problem.i.e. deleting the mentioned files. still no icon.

Firefox 4 no longer uses extensions.cache and extensions.rdf, they have been replaced by extensions.sqlite, try deleting that file to see if it helps.

Did you have Photo Stream enabled on the phone?
If so, you can recover photos from the last 30 days.
If not then they are gone unless you recover your phone.

In India we do not have factory locked phones. We need to buy an instrument and have to insert the sim. And there are 10 mobile services operators in india. In given circumstances please advise what should I ask my from my service provider

If you contact your network provider they may be able to lock it's IEMI number (stop the handset being used by anyone).
Most law enforcement don't want to, or have time to track phones.
So you may have no way to get it back.

This could be very time consuming if there are certian criterias aren't meet. Do you have something like LoJack tracker installed and have you registered your serial with HP so if the laptop every come to a shop for repair the shop will contact hp for support and find it is a stolen laptop and report it to the authority to have it recovered. Otherwise find and recoving a lapto will be hard to do if they sell it off in pieces or keep it and do nothing with it or format it clean and install their own programs thus rendering gone.

If you don't have a backup for your iPhone 4, the messages are gone.

I don't understand this answer. What do you mean " your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have selected to sync."? The address book is created on the phone not in Itunes or any other program/service. When Itunes says backing up phone I have to assume it backs up everything on the phone. Most of what's on my phone does not come out of itunes. I download apps directly on the phone. When the software updates it does not bring those apps back. I have to go into the appstore and install them all over again. Itunes music library syncs with whatever is on the device your linked up to BUT the phone book just dissappears after you update the phone. There is no way to save it anywhere else.
