If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

Lost free adobe photoloader with reformat...how can I recover?

I know the program is a pain sometimes especially at startup, but I could use my free adobe photoloader to
dowload images and videos from all of my cameras. I lost it when my IT guy had to reformant my hard drive.

I hope you enabled "Find My Mac" on that computer, because with any luck, Logging into your iCloud account could yield its location if the thief tries to use the computer. It ain't much, but it's a far stretch better than just "reporting it" to the police.

You don't need to keep your mac 'clean' - it's not a Windows PC. It pretty much takes care of maintenance itself. All those warnings, errors, alerts, that programmes like MacKeeper give you are simply false. Many of the files it says you should remove, you SHOULDN'T.
Unless your mac is showing some kind of performance problem, leave the system alone. If it is showing some kind of performance problem, post in the relevant forum of this website to get help.
The worst thing you can do is download a 3rd party app that promises to solve things for you. 9 times out of 10 they just create more trouble than you had to start with.

You have to add another email address on one of the two devices that you can use as the "You can be reached for FaceTime at" contact address and then remove/uncheck the Apple ID email address as the contact address on that device. The way you are currently setup is like to trying to call yourself on your on phone - from your own phone.
Using the iPad as the example go to Settings>FaceTime>You can be reached for FaceTime at>Add another email address. Then add a working email address in the next window. Apple will verify the email. Go to the inbox of that email account, read and respond to Apple's email in order to complete the verification process.
Go back to Settings>FaceTime>Uncheck the Apple ID email address and make sure that the new email address is checked/selected (you will see it being verified again) and that new email address will be your contact address for the iPad.

Then go to the iTunes Store and click Purchased "new" under Music Quick Links on the right side of the iTunes window.
You can re download your purchased content from the next window.

The firewire port reads the dj software and I can hear music playing through the sound card when I plug my headphones into it but there is no signal to the hardware (my dj mixer).
I have reset the firewire by turning off my mac book pro for a few hours and can see the sound card device in the fire wire section after clicking on the apple icon on the top left corner of my mac.
My dj mixer works on another mac computer with the same soundcard and different firewire cable.
Hope someone can help

yes, it could be due to nearly anything listed in your kernel extensions, startup items, launch daemons, launch agents, or user items above. Please check all of your installed third-party software to make sure that the versions which are installed on your MacBook Pro are compatible with Mavericks; uninstall every software package which isn’t Mavericks-compatible. After you’ve done that, boot into Safe mode, and see if you still get the beach ball of doom there. If it doesn’t appear there, restart normally and see if it appears then.
