No, there is no way to use your iphone as a backup or mass storage device.
Get an external hard drive for backup - they are not expensive.

TrishYou can't depend on a Time Machine backup keeping copies of files that you've deleted from your Mac. For one thing, those would be the only place those files were kept. If the disk in the Time Capsule fails, you'd have lost them entirely. For another thing, Time Machine will eventually delete those files. See item 20 of Time Machine FAQs.
A locally-connected external disk would be the best place to move those movies. -
I can't see my files on my USB shared drive. It shows there is lots of space taken up, but I can't access the files via my Mac. How do I see them? I also can't see them on my iPad using FileBrowser.
You don't have access to it to configure it via Time Machine? You lost me on that one, Time Machine is used for Backup.

To configure Time Capsule you should be using "Airport Utility" 5.3 or higher that is located in the Utilities folder. You can tell if its version 5.3 because the icon will have blue lines instead of orange lines like the older versions. Since you are running Leopard 10.5.6 and you ran Software Update you are probably already running the latest 5.3 version.
The light flashing amber means you haven't entered enough information so that it can get to the internet. Once you have that info entered the light will turn green.
If your absolutely sure your CAT5 cables are good you can try a hard reset. I think you have to push the reset button on the back and hold it for 5 seconds or so until the amber light blinks rapidly, then when you release the button it does the reset then.

Do a full backup using the organizer's backup command on computer A. Then restore that to computer B.
EDIT It will probably go smoothest if you use some kind of removable drive for the backup location. -

If you connect an external hard drive with music, iTunes won't know the music exists there until you tell it. There are two simple ways to tell the application about the music. 1) Drag the folder(s) that contain music files onto the iTunes icon on the Dock or 2) select Add to Library from the File menu and then use the fileselector to select the drive with the music.

I have backed up my disk using Time Machine. I then deleted the back-up files from my MacBook hard drive.

Time Machine is not a good way to do that, when it eventually needs more room it deletes old Backups to make room.
If you really want to keep Files but remove them from the Internal Drive, then I'd get another external drive to copy or clone them to that is not used for TM. -
I have an IPhone 5, and of course I have used ITunes. My Computer has been completely destroyed, so I have to Purchase a new one. How can I transfer my music from my iPhone to my New PC?
The way I do it is I hook to my windows computer, it will pop up iTunes. I click iTunes off. The phone will show as another drive on your computer. Click it open then migrate to the photos folder from the iPhone.
Then select all, cut then right click on your pictures folder on your computer or make a new folder on your desk top like I do and right click on new folder and select paste.
Photos will be gone. Just remember to turn off the iPhone sync in your photos folder on the phone or they will come back

I am running a MAC Yosimite 10.10.1 (latest) and have just updated Lightroom to 5.7 to allow me to manipulate files from my Canon 7D mark 2. When I go from Library to Develop there is no basic adjustments available? I have a histogram but no access to the basic controls as per normal.

I have moved old Back Up files from my external hard drive to the trash and as the Trash previews the files, i.e. counts them (over 850,000 files) it then begins to delete but then stops. Is it possible to move the files out of the Trash file and then only delete a small amount at one time?

To delete files from your external HDD, attach it to your MBP and drag the unwanted files to trash and then empty trash.
Then you select the files that you want to transfer by 'drag and drop' to the external HDD and trash the files on your MBP.

Try loading the same video in different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer are your best options). If the issue is across all of them, make sure you've downloaded the latest version of Flash at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If it's still stopping after that...Do the tried and tested method for everything: reset your router.
