I am the Video Coordinator at Samford University and have found the quality of video capture on the iPad 4 AMAZING, however I need to convert all my files through a canopus in order to Capture and Cut live like I do with a regular video camera. I can get the tripod and mount for the iPad, I was just wondering if anybody knows exactly how/if there is a way to connect to the canopus from an iPad.

I'm a bit vague about what it is you wish to accomplish. Are you trying to capture video through an external box? If so, that's not posssible with any of the Canopus boxes I'm familar with. In fact I don't know of any external video capture solution that works with an iPad, though I can't state definitively that none exist. I really don't think an iPad would be well suited for this even if it's possible. I'd strongly suggest you look into a MacBook Air or one of the current MacBook Pros. Those are far better suited for on-the-fly video capture and editing.
If that's not what you mean, please post back and explain further what it is you wish to accomplish.

I know the keyboard can do it during entering of URLs in Safari and data in Safari but not when entering texts or emails.

You can do this in Logic:
create a layer in the environment and create the redundant audio-objects. In the parameterbox uncheck all their "show" boxes so they only show meter, fader, pan, group and automation. Now put them ontop of each other, so you only can see the meters. Close the window, and open it again as float, hide the parameters and save the screenset.
Does that come close tto what you need?

Kindle App Store has an app names Child's Place. It lets you add only the apps you want your child to access and requires a passcode to exit it. That way your child cannot access any other content except what you have allowed in this particular app. Does anyone know if Apple App store has anything comparable? I know you can set up restrictions in settings but this is different.

Sorry but no, that is not possible in iOS. Other than what is offered in the Restrictions, there is no way to lock apps in general unless the app itself has a password feature. You can in iOS 6 lock the iPad into a single app, but that's your only option.
It's a tradeoff; apps can't affect each other except in very restrictive ways in iOS which makes such features from third parties impossible, but it also renders getting malware infecting your iOS device extremely unlikely, something not the case with Android-based devices.

I'd really like to get away from 4.5. I have 4.7 on my company BB (T-Mobile 8900) and like it much better, but from reading about 5.0 I think I will like it even better yet. Unfortunately 4.5 is the only OS listed on Verizon's page for the 8330. Does anyone know when they will release 5.0? From everything I've read they are going to, but I'd like to know if I should expect a 6 week wait or a 2 year wait...

At the top, one of the stickies is a thread that Xandrex keeps updated with current versions of device OS's from each carrier (that he has information on, of course). I haven't waded through that thread (it's pretty long), but he might have a table for your model, which would guide you to where various carriers stand with release levels.
If you find that a carrier has sanctioned a device OS you want, you can usually get it from them via their DL site via this portal:

Why do I have a lite blue scan bar and a lite blue box that goes on then of at diffrent times on my I-pad 2.. Does anyone know if there is a virus scan i should have on my I-pad?.

This happens on and off and if the scan like bar is into going across then the small box is going around each place like around the longin bottom then the next thing after that. Virus=no. There are no known viruses that affect iOS devices.

Try a reset by holding the power and home keys down until the Apple logo appears. If the problem continues, take it in for diagnosis.

I have tried to download Vuze to the ipad and it keeps coming up with the message that Safari won't let me download it. This is the free version and I have downloaded on the Mac so I don't understand why I can't on the ipad. Any suggestions?

This is what so annoys me about the iPad ,apple control what you do with it. Who are they to bully us into doing it their way. ? every time I login I have to do it twice. Why is that. It's not about security per se it's about buisness owning our interaction processes so they can control. What we do and be forced to buy from them. The iPad is just another computer. Slow and clunky at that. Not even a USB port. I regret buying it. Since my Mac laptop is out of order I have no choice but to use it and wait for pages to load like 486 with a 56k dial up modem ! It's good for emails. But crashes every time fb opens a page. Stupid thing. Microsoft tried to restrict user access in similar ways and was defeated in court. I love my MacBook pro but this iPad 1 is utterly crap.
I don't mean to annoy anyone who gives their good time on here. Apple is so big and corporate you know it can't hear the ants at its feet who want it to be more open less greedy and listen to its customers rather than get the customer to listen and conform to what it wants.. When my laptop has anew charger I'm selling this iPad because it is so user unfriendly .
