I have Mac OSX 10.5.8.  Processor is 1.8 GHz Power PC G5.  I have seen other people talk about processor in OSX 10.5.8 as Intel.  How can this be?

I have a Mac OSX (10.5.8).  The processor is 1.8 GHz Power PC G5.  I have seen other people refer t the processor in thier Mac 10.5.8 as Intel.  How can this be?

Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 support Macs with Intel and PowerPC processors, so it's normal that some Mac OS X 10.5.8 users have got an Intel Mac and others have got a PowerPC one. Mac OS X 10.6 and later only support Intel computers
