When I click on okay, another page comes, which says" converter and a box next to it . in the box is written FFMpeg. but I can change it to MEncoder. In another box, says configure conversion rules. When I click on it, nothing happen.Thanks for your help.

Downloading video from youtube for edit
Need to download a clip from youtube to use in my video. Original youtube clip is mine. Don't have the original footage to use. Using Mpeg streamclip but get error message that can't open file. Any suggestions? New user of mpeg streamclips.
some youtube formats will not play nice with compressor. mpegstreamclip will usually convert them. Can you open the file in quicktime player? If so, hit command-i to see what format it is. Many youtube downloaders such as Wondershare Free YouTube Downloader (which I sometimes use) will allow you to convert the files to a fcp friendly format.

Editing and exporting videos from youtube
I downloaded a justin bieber video from Youtube.com.I edited this video using adobe premiere pro cs5. I tried exporting the file and it seems that I am not able to play the exported file. Is there something wrong with my file selection? Adobe Premiere Pro does not allow editing or exporting copyrighted materials? I am not gonna use the video for any commercial purposes. I am just making a video for my niece who would celebrate here birthday next week. Thanks.

Can you please give us the full details of the YouTube file that you downloaded and edited, plus your Project/Sequence Preset? Then, what Export settings did you choose? What happens, when you Export?
CS5 does not know if the material is ©, but that is an ethical question, that you must address.
Also, starting with YouTube material will never yield good quality, but again, this is something that you must address.

Try downloading them onto the iPad normally. If you're asked to pay for them, you can't.

I have .me and .mac email accounts on my iPhone 4. I thought I had successfully transitioned from MobileMe to iCloud, but something must be wrong. iCloud seems to work fine on my computer and, with the exception of two email accounts, seems to be fine on my phone. Can/should I delete the accounts on my phone and start over? It is somewhat of a nuisance to have two email accounts and double the amount of emails. The only thing different about the two iCloud accounts is the email addresses. Thanks.
Well, seems I managed to unscrew this...I deleted my iCloud mail account and reinstalled it on my phone. That got rid of the duplicate .me/.mac email accounts.

You can find the Apple Bluetooth card on eBay for as little ten dollars (says its for the 2008 model Mac Pro, not sure about the 2007).

Just make sure that the part will work in your model Mac Pro. To that end, you may be better off avoiding eBay and going to a parts reseller. There are even third party cards that use the internal Apple bluetooth slot.

In theory, using a USB or PCI card will work at login so long as it is recognized by Apples drivers. You say you need to launch an application to use your current USB Bluetooth dongle? If it is not controlled by the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar then it must be using a third party driver of some sort. Unfortunately, I don't know off hand which USB and PCI cards are supported. -

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward. -

Yes, you can install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit in your Mac using Parallels for Mac. Just follow the instructions of the virtualization programs during the install. Should you need any assistance with the installation process, I strongly recommend contacting Parallels Tech Support (you must register with Parallels in order to have tech support).
Alternatively, you can always use Apple's BootCamp if you want to run Windows natively in your Mac. Check their support page, Apple has a lot of good links explaining this solution.

I have Mac Pro I broced the screen but it still under apple care so I just want to know if they going to fix the secreen or change hole the Mac Pro?Mac Pros are towers and have no monitor. A MBP does have a screen, but unless the screen damage was a manufacturing defect, Apple will not cover the damage under your warranty. But they will fix it at your expense.
