I have malware only on Firefox and only on retail sites. Used spybot, reset Firefox and reinstalled. Nothing worked. What can I do?

Recently I must have downloaded a virus. On Firefox when I go to any commericial site I am bombarded with pop up ads. Facebook, PDFs and search engines there are no pop ups.I have downloaded and ran Spybot, reset Firefox and reinstall Firefox. I tried using IE and I don't seem to be having the same problems. I do like Firefox, especially for using my RSS feeds. Hopefully you have a solution. BTW I have an older PC running XP.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
Flash is notorious for not cleaning out the older version as part of an update.
Grab the uninstaller from here:

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Connect your iPhone to Computer. On iTunes left Pane, under "Devices" right mouse click iPhone and select "Restore from Backup..." then select one of the three backup (Date and Time)

I couldn't see any reason why it would be bad for my particular macbook, and it downloaded without a problem.

In what way is it terrible? Mountain Lion is pretty stable. If you are having problems, most likely they are unique to your particular system and can be fixed. If you don't like some of the new features, that does not constitute reason for a refund.
If that does not suit you, you will have to discuss a refund with Apple, as they are the only ones who can say. Note that the App Store terms do say that all sales are final, so you are not guaranteed a refund, especially since whatever problems you had are not due to defective software.

This started happening to me on my iPhone 4. Some text messages show only the numer they came from and those same numbers do not show the contact name in my calls list, even though the contacts are saved and synced via iCloud. I have tried to save different versions of the number in the same contact, but it won't work. If I call one of the recent numbers though, the conact comes up. However, the most likely reason is your self-repair of a device that is only factory repairable broke something. Note that Apple does not sell replacement parts, so whatever parts you used were not made by Apple's supplier and are of questionable quality.

And just in case you were wondering, installing one purchased copy on all the Macs you own is specifically called out as allowed in the Mac OS X Lion license.
If you do not want to download multiple times, just copy the Applications -> Install Lion app to a safe place BEFORE you do the first install. Then copy that copy to any Mac you own where you want to install Lion.

Are they gone completely from the computer, or just no longer in the library? Check your movie media folder.
If your'e in the USA you can download some movies a second time, but not all (studio dependent). You should always back up all media.

Hi. I have not used Roxio Jam for quite a long time and I just wanted to make a few CDs. Jam used to work easily and well. I have a problem. I can't drag and drop iTunes music files anymore and, now I have to import music one song at a time by using the "+" or "-" buttons on the bottom. What is going on? I trashed the preferences file and restarted Jam to no avail. I also have selected that Jam should open files with iTunes in the Jam preferences. I have a G5 DP 2Ghz PPC machine with OS 10.4.11, iTunes 9.2.1 and Quicktime's version is 7.6.4. I have 2 GB of RAM and the machine has dual 1.25 Ghz. processors plus a 500 GB HD. Can anybody give me any suggestions?

I found an solution.
Uninstalling AirParrot as well as the two offending AirParrotDriver.kext and APExtFramebuffer.kext files in System>Library>Extensions was the fix. All problems disappeared.
