I have Mandirva Springs 64 bit OS. Adobe-Flash is not working?

I recently installed Mandriva-springs 2010.1 64 bit os.
Inspite of putting the flash player plugin so in /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugin folder it does not work. There is no folder for plugin in /usr/lib/mozilla/. How ever all other plugins are working from the folder /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugin

At present Adobe does not have a 64bit plugin for Flash, there are 2 methods I know of to get around this:
1) Using the nswrapper utility where it uses a translation layer between the 32bit & 64bit environments.
2) You can use Gnash which is provided with Mandriva dvd/cd's. For this I would suggest to go to [http://easyurpmi.zarb.org] and use the utility to update your repository listings. I find more advantageous to deselect any of the cd references in the media listing. Gets rid of the constant requests for the dvd/cd media. Once you have clicked on the official medias link it will prompt for you to run the gurpmi utility, you say yes/ok. It will then prompt for the SU password. It may take a while if you are on a slow connection but worthwhile. Once the process for the official medias has completed you should see the Ok for complete, you can then click the plf repositories update button let that complete and let it do it's thing. Once everything has completed you can then go into your 'Install & Remove Software' and you should see a lot more options & the best part about it is that any dependencies it will mark for installation. How is that?!? On the search line type flash or gnash. See what comes up! I think you know the process now.

Well, I kinda figured that was true, so I disabled it. Firefox does not lock up now. I suspect it might be a Google Finance page graph that is causing the problem, rather that Flash. Thanks for all your help. J

I finally figured it out. Flash Player had not installed. I had to de-activate Active-X thru the safety tab on the menu bar and then download the Adobe Flash Player and now it's working. I re-activated Active X after I finished installing Flash,. Hope fully everything will keep working fine!

Adobe Flash Player not working in Internet Explorer 9

I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (version 11.7.700.169) and Adobe Flash Player stopped working in Internet Explorer 9. ActiveX filtering is disabled and the Adobe Flash Player add-on is enabled in IE 9. When I try to load the Web page for www.youtube.com, I get a blank screen. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox work fine - both can display the YouTube Web page. Is there a fix for this?

I have no idea what happened! About 3 days ago my Adobe Flash 9 was working fineon all the websites such as Photobucket, Youtube, and more! But I started getting risks & threats on my computer so I didnt didnt use this laptop til the next day, when my brother came to clean up the virus and threats with Norton AntiVirus. After cleaning up everything, I went on the Internet onto youtube.com & they said I need to install the Adobe Flash Read 10, and I did. But when I went backon again it said I still need to install it (again), & I did (about 4 times), still not working.
I need Help & a reason why its not working. Please Help!

I dont know what is happening... Actually i have just now adobe flash player 11 active x installed. I was not able to download it from the main site. So i tried a alternate link i found on the forum here. It is installed now but it doesnt work or like works in half sites only. i play an online game called 'goodgame empire'. it needs adobe flash playe to work and it works properly. but i can't play youtube videos and another online game called 'forge of empires' says that i need to install adobe flash player to play the game but i have already installed it!! please sort me out.

No. However, WW has their own app you can use. It's for the iPhone but should work on the iPad. Otherwise, contact them and complain.

Adobe flash does not work on bootcamp windows 2002 xp. down loaded to windows. works with Mac. No program folder for such. shows up in "add delete programs" (in setting) but without a file size. I have a MacBook Pro purchased new in June 2010.

Using bootcamp (windows 2002 xp) I down loaded adobe flash player from the windows platform. told me it installed successfully. however does not work in windows, does works in mac. in xp there is no created program folder for such or created short cut. In the control panel (xp) in add/delete programs it is listed but wihout any file size or frequency used. I've deleted & reinstalled numerous times. Mac OS is 10.6.8. Windows is 32 bit. Can't find a thing that discusses this. THANKS!

Adobe Flash is not working no matter what I do - I have updated Firefox to the latest version and Flash to the latest version to no avail - what can be done?

I have used your help processes and done everything that is suggested - repeatedly. I don't know what else to say. Whenever I go to a site requiring the use of adobe flash, the system freezes up for a couple of minutes or more and then it says that Flash has crashed. I have sent the crash reports multiple times. When I use Internet Explorer, I have no issues with Adobe Flash. I have Windows 7 64bit installed.

I had loads of problems with iTunes, could see all but it would not respond at all.
I downloaded Abexo free registry cleaner and Errorkill registry cleaner free for limited period with restrictions. I ran both and got rid of all the junk in the registry and then installed QuickTime standalone...all problems solved. May need to reinstall itunes AFTER Quicktime if this does not work.

If you are reading this and are also having problems with Adobe Flash Player, please START YOUR OWN THREAD! That allows someone to help you individually and will hopefully prevent MY question from being accidentally marked as "Answered" when it's not. THANK YOU!
Now to start the whole process over....
1. When I download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, my computer says it's succesful. I'm able to verify through Add/Remove Programs that it IS on the computer. However, when I'm on a site that requires AFP--like Hulu or YouTube--I get a message that says I need to download the latest version.
2. When I was working with eidnolb before, we found that for some reason the Shockwave Flash Object wasn't on my computer, even though I uninstalled and installed AFP several times and also restarted my computer.
3. I use Windows XP Professional Version 2002, Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 8. My computer also has AVG 9.0.830 for anti-virus protection and Spyware Blaster. The only firewall I use is the standard Microsoft firewall that came already installed.
4. I am the administrator on my computer. I have also made sure the following are disabled when I download AFP: anti-virus program, anti-spyware program, firewall, all add-ons in Explorer, and any messenger programs.

said that if you try to use Flashplayer with Internet Explorer 8 (64 bit) it won't work and you'll just keep getting the message to "Install Flashplayer" over and over even if you can see in your files that you already have it installed. They told me to use the 32 bit version of IE 8, or another browser such as Mozilla Foxfire or Google Chrome (both of which are 32 bit). Now I can watch Hulu with any of these three browsers. I didn't have to turn of AVG at all; but I have AVG 2011 Free Version 10.0.1170 downloaded from http://www.download.com . Also, according to the first website shown above, you don't have the latest version of Flashplayer, which is recommended by Adobe.

Adobe Flash Player not working on Safari

I am running Safari 5.1.5 on Lion 10.7.3. For about a year now, I have been having trouble running Adobe Flash Player to view videos. I can verify that I have Flash Player 11.2.202.235 installed, but on some (not all) website, most notably ANYTHING.yahoo.com, I just get a button to "Get Adobe Flash Player" even though I already have it. Flash-based ads work fine, it's really just for videos. I end up having to watch the non-working videos on Chrome where they work fine. Any insight into what the issue might be?

Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the current plugin first.
Then launch Safari.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

Why will adobe flash player not work on my mac?

Hi, I just got my mac back from the apple store and sadly I lost all my data so its a 'new mac' and i had to set it up from scratch etc.
I am unable to watch videos on youtube and other sites that need Java or Adobe flash player EVEN THOUGH I have downloaded and uninstalled several times and each time it doesnt work. Ive checked in safari prefferences that 'enable java-script' and 'enable plug-ins' is on but it still will not work!
Ive been on system prefferences and checked the java and adobe application prefferences to see if i can add the websites oor something but it will not work.
my mac is deffinetly up to date to the latest version, i have checked several times and i have made sure that it is the correct adobe flash player most recently updated etc, but it will still not work! ive been researching for a couple of days now and cant find anything that works.
Someone Please Help!!!!!
