I have my Kendle app on the iPad. All of a sudden I cannot open my books. I see them, but they won't open like they did before.
I have not had a problem until recently. Could it be the new operating system I up graded too?
Plug it into power, and hold down the home and the sleep/wake button for 30 seconds.
If this doesn't work chances are something is wrong with your iPhone, I'd suggest taking it to an Apple Retail store. www.apple.com/retail (You can change your country at the bottom of the page if need be, that's for the US)
Also, if you look in the headphone jack... or look into the bottom where the dock connector plugs in... and you see a red circle... You've set off the Liquid Contact Indicators in your iPhone by getting liquid in your unit. That would definately be a reason for your iPhone to not be working.

i'm not quiet sure atm but should normally work like this:
connect to itunes store -> log out with ur account (upper right corner where ur apple id is displayed) -> sign in with ur wifes apple id -> activate computer (store->activate this computer)
normally it should work this way but ur wife wont be able to use apps or music within itunes library purchased with the other apple id -

My mailboxes have disappered under the menu bar at the top of the screen. Ican see them if I drag the screen down but they pop back up when I try to click on them. How can I drag them down below the menu bar?
Well, in the end I contacted Apple and it was rather hit and miss but the problem was solved by deleteing the com.apple.mail.savedState file. It took them a bit of time to sort it out and I had to be promoted up the chain of support but it worked. Hope this is of use to others with the same problem,

All of a sudden, I cannot open any of the incoming individual emails
Since Monday, 8/8, I cannot open any of the incoming emails. I can click on it, but nothing is there to read. When I use the Explorer, I can read them and send replies.
Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

when i try to retrieve the songs into my library it says that my computer is connected with another apple id and that i have to wait 90 days. Do I have to wait to be able to retrieve my songs that I purchased? Do I have to wait all the time when I purchase songs from itunes? Its driving me crazy that I bought these songs and are not able to listen to them on my other apple products. Such as my ipod nano 4th generation, and my iphone 4. Your help is appreciated, thank you.

When you download past purchases on an iOS device or computer, that device or computer becomes associated with your Apple ID. This article describes how to manage these associations.

Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days.
Note: Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90-day timer. You must wait 90 days from the day the device was first associated with your Apple ID before it can be associated with another Apple ID.

I just installed a new wireless printer but I was able to access web pages normally after I did that. The problem started the next day. The only web page on the desktop that works is Google.
ThanksA possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have created a PDF and password protected it for view. However, when reading the PDF in Adobe Reader app on the iPad the commenting and annotation options are not available. Is there a way to allow commenting and annotation in the app while password protecting the document?
Is there a setting that needs to be set to allow the annotation features? I set password protection to open and then password for editing and set it to Any except page extraction, but it still did not give the annotation option

APPS ON THE iPAD MINI BRIEFLY APPEAR TO OPEN AND THEN IMMEDIATELY CLOSE. already TRIED REBOOT BUT SAME ISSUE.
Have you tried a reset? Hold down Home and On/Off buttons, ignoring slider until you see the Apple logo. Then release the buttons. The device will reset--you will lose no data. Please don't shout--using all caps is not only rude but it is hard to read.

I have an ipad I used with a computer which's now broken. I bought a new Macbook Pro and signed into iTunes with my usual Apple id and pw. I connected my ipad to the new Macbook but it won't back up my photos or Apps from the ipad to the new macbook. Help
What do you mean " back up my photos or Apps"?
The photo sync is one way - computer to ipad.
You can transfer itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -

I purchased my iPad in your London store on 20th May 2012, serial no. DM*******J8T. I have been purchasing apps from the London store, without any problems. Last week, however, receiving a prompt that updates were available, I logged on hoping to update, which resulted in the following window:

Your account is not valid for use in the US Store.
You must switch to the UK Store before purchasing.<
I have done nothing to facilitate this change in stores and have no way of knowing how to switch back to the UK store.
This is a recent development, I have not had any problems connecting to the UK store before, in fact it happened automatically. Can the fact that I am not actually in the UK now but spend most of my time in Indonesia? This has not effected my purchases from the UK store before, however.

I have created another iTunes library (so I have 1 for an ipod touch and a separate 1 for an iPad), but the apps from the iPad appear in both libraries. How can I stop this so the 2 libraries are completely separate? Thanks
You don't need two separate libraries to manage two devices.
I suspect the reason that the apps are appearing in both libraries is that you have enabled automatic downloads in iTunes and automatic syncing of apps so that all your purchases end up in both libraries, defeating your original aim.
Why not use a single library and make playlists for the media content you want on each device? Disable Settings > Store > Automatic Downloads > Apps on each device, then connect each device in turn and turn off Automatically Sync Apps on the Apps page.
You can now manage your devices independently, while only having to manage the content of one iTunes library, instead of two.

You can sync your music and apps from iTunes. However since you are moving from an iPod to an iPad, many of the apps will have iPad versions which you will need to redownload.
