You will need both License Keys the Lightroom 4 upgrade key and the Lightroom 3 key. You can download the latest LR 4.4.1 from the site below. Just make sure you get the appropriate one for your operating system.
Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh
Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows
Install then you first enter the LR 4 upgrade serial number and then the LR 3 serial number when prompted.

In iTunes, select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, go to the Summary tab.
There should be a checkbox that says Enable disk use.  Check it and Apply the change.  It should now appear in Windows, when the iPod is connected.
NOTE:  When Disk Use is enable, you have to eject the iPod (in iTunes) before physically disconnecting it from computer.

I have an old ipod touch which won't go past the Apple logo, all it does is show me a loading symbol, but will go no further, i have tried restoring it and i have been successful. It connects and is recognised by my itunes and computer, but still after restoring it, it just won't get passed the logo..what can i do? what is the problem?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I have an old iPod Classic that still works fine but it is having difficulty establishing a connection to my computer.  It will make an incomplete connection but it takes a long time and the computer hangs up until the connection is made. iTunes can't see

I have an old iPod Classic.  It still plays the music on it out of either port.  It is having trouble connecting to my Windows 7 (64bit) computer.   It takes about 30 seconds or more to connect and hangs the computer until it does.  Even though it shows up in connected USB devices and in Windows explorer it doesn't seem right.  Sometimes it does not make a connection and when it does make a connection iTunes cannot detect it, even though iTunes sometimes automatically launches when I plug in the iPod.  I've tried two different sets of cables with the same results.

It wont fix your problem, but may tell help troubleshoot, why it is freezing iTunes, especially when the Pending and Realloc numbers are high.

  • I have an old ipod. It worked great until about 2 months ago and now it says I need to restore my ipod but I can't unless I format it, but everytime I try, it says the format could not be completed. Is there anything else I can do to get it to work again?

    No app is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order

  • I have an old iPod classic that iTunes cannot find, I can't even restore it!?

I have an old iPod Classic that iTunes cannot "find" even though it shows it. I can't even restore it. Works fine except can't synch with iTunes to add new music!?

We (Appple techs) tried disk mode and that didn't work. At times the iPod would even "show" itself in iTunes and iTunes would say it was synching but when you looked at the iPod you could tell it wasn't ( it just said do not disconnect) and after 10 to 40 minutes later iTunes would say can't find iPod. We would then have to force quit iTunes because it was hung up and then just disconnect the iPod. The iPod works fine with headphones or a docking station, just can't add (or subtract) anything to it. It completely mystified all the techs in the store and all "senior" advisors on the phone- and that was about 4.5 hours getting tossed to one "expert" or another! Ah well, indeed stranger than life.

  • I have an old iPod, first generation. I want to play a friend's music thru my Bose radio. I've emptied my iPod to my itunes library to allow space on the iPod. Question is: Can my friend put his music on a flash drive and somehow transfer to my computer.

I have an old iPod. First generation. I want to play a friend's music thru my Bose radio at an upcoming party.   (already use my Pod w/the radio). Ive emptied my iPod to my itunes library to make more room for additional music.
Question: Can I somehow download my friend's playlist - which is on a flashdrive, transfer it to my itunes and then transfer to the iPod??

If the Apple Store Genuis says you can't sync music from an audio CD to your iPod (because it's too old), he or she is not much of a "genius."
That question is not even related to your iPod.  First step is to "rip" the music CD into your iTunes library.  Once the songs on the CD are in your iTunes library, they are like any other songs in your library, and you can sync them to your iPod as desired.  This article seems to do a good job of describing how to rip CDs
    http://www.macworld.com/article/1156861/howto_rip_cds.html
NOTE:  When you insert a music CD, it appears in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  If you do not see the sidebar (along left side of window), from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
It was the context of your original question, not the actual task.  You can easily add songs files that are on a flash drive to your iTunes library.  Open a window that shows the flash drive contents.  Drag the song files from that window to the iTunes window, and drop them on your iTunes Music library.  Or, use the command
iTunes menu bar -> File -> Add to Library...
NOTE:  Open your iTunes preferences, Advanced tab.  If the checkbox for Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library is NOT checked, those songs from the flash drive will only be accessible (for playing and syncing) when the flash drive is connected.

  • Old iPod showing media that is no longer on iPod

I have the old iPod 4th gen. and it keeps showing on iTunes, that I have over 700 songs and 600 pics, but I have deleted them, and they are not on my iPod any longer. Is there some way that I could take them completely off, so that I can still have some memory on my old iPod, so they will stop showing up on iTunes?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
      - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • I have an old ipod that i have not used in a very long time, ive had it on a charger now for over an hour and i still cnnot get my ipod to turn on, how can i fix my problem, i just downloaded the new version of itunes aswell, so i know its not my itunes.

i have an old ipod touch that i have not used in a very long time, and im having trouble gettign it to turn on. ive had it on a charger for over an hour now and still nothing hs changed. i just updated my itunes to the current version they haev so i know its not an itunes problem its rather a problem with the old ipod touch itself. im leaving for deployment soon and im trying to get this fixed without having to send it in. If anyone has any ideas on how to get this thing turned on it would be greatly appreciated.

    Well, two thoughts.
The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.
If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task. Start with Google to search for these.
The flat fee for a battery exchange is, I believe, $99.00 USD.

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
