I have no bars with an x on top of it, if i get a bar i cannot make a call. it won't allow me to turn on my mobile net work. I have no idea what to do

This phone uses a Sim Card but as I found it's a 3G only phone but if the Sim handles all the phones information Like on a 4G phone the Sim might need to be replaced) If the card is used for something totally different simply *228 send 1 phone refresh is all that is needed) but it's best to call customer Service and ask as they can walk you through the steps and it may be you just need to update your PRL preferred roaming list..
Here is Customer Service's Number: they open in just a few Hours.. 1-800-922-0204 use Option 3 when ask what you like to do Say you would like to talk to a Representative.. If this is your only phone available to talk on then I recommend a stop by a Local Verizon Comm store for further assistance..

[CUPS] Documents print with no margin on top of the page

Hello people!
I'm having a weird issue when I print documents. Whatever I print, from whatever application I print, it seems that the top margin is reduced. For instance, I have PDF documents with a one-inch top margin. The margin appears to be okay on the on-screen, but does not appear when printed out.
I've tried playing with the options in the GNOME print dialog, to no avail. I also tried reinstalling my printer's driver, also to no avail. I have read something on the Internets saying it has to do with KDE print dialog, but I don't use KDE. I have kdebase installed, though.
Anyhow, let me know if you have any thoughts and/or need any info.

Well I figured it out, right click the arrow that makes the screen bigger and unclick the Hide Toolbar. I knew it couldn't be that hard.

I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.

After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.

From the iTunes Store, yes, all your iOS devices running on the same account will qualify.

Does anyone know of apps that cause heavy drains on power? It also does not charge when it is plugged into my MacBook while I am using the iPad but it does when I am not using the iPad. I mostly use the iPad to read e-mails, play Team Lava games, read books through iBooks or Kobo and the ABC Player. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Restore is about the only option left, short reinstalling the whole thing as new.
Before you restore, go to I tunes and turn off automatic sync. Then plug the machine in. Upload any photos that you have taken with the pad into I photos, or where ever you keep your pictures. Then, in I tunes, transfer any purchases.
If any apps or purchased music get lost in the process, you can download them again for free.
You do not want to make a backup of what you have on the pad now. If you do, when you restore, you will simply recreate the same problem.
What you want to do is restore from a prior backup. Do that.
Then run the system status app and see what the CPU numbers look like. If they are ok, then you can start to re add apps until the problem shows up.
If this does not do it, then the last step is to set the pad up as new. Check the numbers, then add the apps and settings back one by one. While it is likely to be an app, it may be a setting somewhere.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I don't know how to bring the rest of the page up without dragging it also into the designated nav bar area. Well, you made a good start with SEO by getting rid of the iWeb default navigation since it doesn't help the spiders and, out there in the real world, there are more people than you would think with javascript turned off in their browsers.
One of the downsides of iWeb is that it doesn't allow for the alt attribute in the img tag. Its well worth adding these to give you extra keywords even if you have captioned all your images. Use iWeb SEO Tool for this...

Running you files through an optimizer will help to reduce this problem and further reduce the size of image files even beyond the initial optimization you do before loading them into iWeb...

The dark bar is caused by the option "Show metadata below image".
Check the settings for the metadata overlays in Grid view (basic and expanded) by clicking the little "badge" icon below the Browser and selecting "Edit". Is the filename still enabled in the list? And in a high enough position to have precedence for other metadata tags, if the space does not suffice to show all selected tags?
