I have no favourites star next to the home symbol, therefore no favourites.

I followed the tour, I should have a favourites star, to click on. I cannot find it.
According to the tour of firfox, it should be on the right-hand side of the page, at the top, next to the 'home' symbol. But my page does not go any further to the right than the home symbol.
Are the favourites located elsewhere?

Yes, that is the star that I meant. That bookmarks the current site.
If you mean the Bookmarks Menu button that opens the Bookmarks drop down list then you only see that button on the Bookmarks Toolbar if the Menu bar is hidden or if you've placed the BMB button on another toolbar.
You can find that Bookmarks Menu button in the toolbar palette on the Customize window and drag that button on a toolbar.<br />
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

Good job. The is what we call the Wi-Fi icon or "menulet" or more properly known as "menu extra".
In any event I don't know what would have created a green icon, and I'm not convinced it is necessary to indicate you have broadband working.
By any chance does it happen to look like this:
Have you checked System Preferences for something you may have installed? Some of them have options to display its status in the "menu extra" area. Perhaps it became un-selected.

That is the beauty of having support forums. If it is a bother to answer, without being snide, one is not obligated to do so. I went into customize and removed it then put it back. When clicking done, it is gone again and will not appear. I had this same problem, using Ubuntu 11.04, here is the solution, pretty simple after trying 800 things to find the solution. Go to your addons, disable the addon called "global menu bar integration", then if your menubar is still viewable, disable it, and then you can see the drop down menu for your bookmarks. If you don't have Ubuntu then you just need to disable your menubar directly (the one with File, Edit, View, etc).

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Thank you for trying to help. I followed your instructions, it took 6 hours to download, and then said it could not solve the problem (something to do with error 9?). It will have to go back to Apple - its only 3 days since it came out of the package and its very disappointing for him. Reload button and stop button are united in one button which is placed at the end of address bar. When you switch over it it turns blue and while loading any page, it turns red and has 'X' mark which is actually the stop button.
You can place bookmarks button from the Customize dialog box from Alt+V > Toolbars > Customize

How can I middle-click a link and have a tab open next to the parent?

Ctrl-T opens a new, blank tab at the end of my tab list, which I like. In IE 11 middle-clicking on a link in a web page opens that new progeny tab next to the parent tab, rather than at the end of the list, and groups them if you have more than one parent-and-progeny tab groups. IE 11 goes so far as to assign tab title background colors to such groups (which isn't as important to me as the functionality). Tweaking Tab Mix Plus just resulted in modifying where Ctrl-T puts a blank tab. Is there a way to make my FF parent-progeny tabs work like IE 11?

If you use Tab Mix Plus then you need to check its settings where links are opened.

For some reason when the House symbol appears in any incidence on my Mac Pro lap top although it is only me that has ever used it it shows the name Sharon next to the house which isn't mine! Only about a quarter of the iTunes country stores have music, so you are apparently looking at one that doesn't.
Go into the store, and click the little house icon to get to the home page, where you can click on "Change Country." Click on the country you are in, and enter your credit card information.
To make purchases, the address on the card must match the country of the store, and you must be physically in that country at the time of purchase.
