I have no idea what's wrong!
the other day i was listening to my ipod and it started skipping a couple songs- but then it stopped.I also listened to it last night and it was just fine but the battery was almost dead. So today before i was getting ready to go out, I went up to the computer and my brother was logged on to his account and he said that when his mp3 player was done that he would plug in my ipod to charge it. About an hour later i went up to the copmuter to check on it and i found that it was just sitting there, plugged in to the computer, but the battery was still almost dead and the charging icon hadn't appeared or anything and the backlight had gone off. I tried to turn the hold on and off, turn the ipod off all together, and nothing would move, the backlight wouldn't even turn on, so i went to apple.com and tried the "r's" thing and it didn't help because i couldn't get the ipod to do anything at all. After awhile i had been sitting there trying to get it to at least move or get the hold icon to go off, but nothing would happen and then i still had it plugged into the computer and the computer started to beep, and it did a couple of times, and then i unplugged the ipod and it stopped, but my ipod is still frozen, and the time is frozen at 12:45, and it is now about 2:15 and i have no idea what is wrong or what i should do!and also i think it may hav something to do with my computer because the keyboard is pushing things and i'm not even touching it. so if you have any thing i could do please help me!!!-thanks

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Could also be not enough free space for the iPad to operate efficiently. With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free. For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.
If neither of these suggestions helps, Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -
On my iPhone 4s taking video then playing back ,the audio is so low you can barely hear it . I played older videos and the audio works perfect . All other audio works perfect on the phone too. I have no idea what is going on ?

I have tried holding down the home and power button countless of times. It doesnt respond at all. Plug my phone to a charger and hold down the power button and my phone switched on. But it said Activation Required and said connect to Itunes. As e screen remains on the connect to Itunes screen, I disconnect the charger from my phone and my phone went dead instantly. My battery is full btw. Tried connecting to Itunes through my Macbook Pro but iTunes doesnt detect my device and the apple logo flashes for about a few seconds on my phone and then disappear and then came back on again. My Iphone has been connected to my laptop for about 30 mins and the apple logo has been coming on and off for 30 minutes now and Itunes has not detect my device yet.

The window you showed looks like Windows 8 or 8.1.
I suggest using Windows Refresh to return your notebook to the state it was in. Choose the Refresh version that does not affect your files.

My Mac has suddenly stopped playing my DVDs including a DVD it played fine only 3 days ago. I insert the DVD and wait for the player to start automatically but after 10 minutes, nothing is happening and it sounds like the disk has stopped spinning. I've now tried with four different DVDs (all store bought and so perfectly normal disks). The Mac doesn't eject the disk or anything it just doesn't seem to respond to it being there at all.
My main confusion is why this suddenly happened today when it was perfectly fine last week.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong and how I could fix it? Thank you.

Help, i am trying to print my JPEG file that i created in photoshop at a photo lab but it is coming out like an X-ray. I have printed these files before so i have no idea what i am doing wrong.

or when i am saving the file to JPEG?Basically you're approaching this the wrong way around. What you need is the extreme sections to be quieter, not louder. The problem with moving the lower end of the audio is that you'll move the noise floor too, and get what's generally referred to as a 'pumping' effect. So what you do is to use a compressor to tame the peaks, and leave the lower level sound alone. When you've done that, you amplify (or normalize to a level you can determine) the whole signal. So the noise floor will be higher, but constant and not pumping. 'Match Volume' is a completely different tool for setting the overall levels of different tracks so that they sound approximately the same - it doesn't even begin to do what you want.
If it's music you are treating, then I'd almost certainly use the multiband compressor, because you get less artefacts with this. You need to experiment with the threshold levels, and almost certainly not use a massive compression ratio - 3:1 or 4:1 should be sufficient (although it's hard to tell without actually hearing the audio). You can tell what it's doing at any given point because the downward meter indicates how hard it's working. In theory you can apply make-up gain with it as well, but personally I leave that until everything's treated and use the 'Normalize' tool to set an absolute max level. -
After months of working OK Time Machine is reporting "The backup was not performed because an error occurred while copying files to the backup disk". Anyone have any idea what's gone wrong?

Yes, that's a bit misleading. It just means that will be done, if it's required, which it isn't on your backups.
I have no idea if anything actually was changed however just when I had given up and walked away, TM has started working after a week of failing.
It probably did find and fix something. Just for reference, Disk Utiltiy usually shows the progress and repair messages in the center part of the window, but often doesn't when repairing a sparse bundle on a network. You can see the messages at any time by clicking the Log icon in the toolbar, or select Window > Show Log from the menubar.

I keep getting a message that my ID has been disabled when trying to download an app. I have changed password with apple. Any ideas what is wrong?
If you've changed your password and it still shows disabled then try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

well i set a passcode on my iphone 4 and ive forgotten it i have no idea what to do and i only just got this phone plus i dont want to do these bypassing with emergancy call just in case i get it wrong plz help (urgent)
If you set the phone to erase on 10 failed passcodes - then just keep typing and it will wipe itself.
Otherwise I believe you can set it to recovery mode and restore etc.. via iTunes... There is no easy way as the passcode is designed to protect the phone exactly against what you are trying to do now...

An email sent from my iMac has a button linked to a clip hosted on Vimeo. When received, the link functions on iMac and iPad, but opens a window of app icons on iPhone and iPod touch. Any ideas what's wrong?
For anyone else reading this thread, it is worth knowing that sometimes an email is, or can be, corrupted thereby jamming the works. The solution above is good, but I just wanted to suggest another one.
If the problem arises, go to an online mail access service, such as Mail2Web.com and login to you mail account there and delete the offending message.
Problem solved.
And George, as this is all entirely voluntary, whinging about no takers may not endear people to you. Besides which, a few minutes of searching on Google would have found you a number of solutions. -
My ipod touch has stopped playing through my Sony docking station, It only plays through the i pod. It's not the docking station as my daughter's ipod works fine on it. It can synch when connected to computer. Any ideas what is wrong?
Have discovered that I had not in fact updated the ios!!
Went through the process last night and my ipod now works fine on my docking station.

Help? Verizon has no idea what's wrong..
I'm trying to get some of these issues resolved before my 1st month is up.. Verizon doesn't have any idea what's going on. In 2 weeks, I've gone through 2 STBs and today a tech replaced the box (ONT?) inside the garage.
I won't go over the larger internet, phone or some of my TV problems because I need to give the new ONT a chance. However, I have other strange issues that may just be annoyances, but I'd at least like to know if these are across the board bugs that I just need to deal with, or things that should be working.
Keep in mind that I have had my STB refreshed by Verizon on a few occasions, and I've rebooted it numerous times, I've gone through the In-Home Agent (worthless). I've had 2 techs out since the original installation who couldn't find anything wrong.
Like I said though, at this time I'm not mentioning the big problems until at least a few days go by, just mainly annoyances for now.
My biggest concern is that these smaller problems are indicative of major problems that won't show up until after my trial period is over.
I have a Cisco CHS 435HDC
1. FIOS TV remote DVR (Mobile) - I have already gotten the PIN and entered it into the Android App. However..
Under Menu/Settings..
Mobile phone access says:
Awaiting authentication. Authenticate by entering the following confirmation code into your mobile device. WHERE??? How do I get it to authenticate? I've deleted and re-added....never completes authentication.
2. VOD - I am unable to add a bookmark. After the last box was installed, I was able to do so, but it stopped working last week. I get an error:
VOD request has timed out due to a network issue. Please try again later. [VOD_207]
Selecting Troubleshoot, no issues were found, it tells me to call a specific number and enter quick code 8631. This just tells you to reboot the router, which was done.
3. I lose sound in VOD after about 4 seconds. If I go deeper into the directory structure, then go backwards to a certain point, the sound comes back for about 4 seconds then goes silent again. It will keep doing this, for instance if I'm looking at the info on a movie, then go back to the directory..sound for 4 seconds, then nothing. It can get annoying. (No, I don't really need to hear anything when in VOD, and yes, I can just mute the sound so I don't know it goes in and out..it's just annoying)
4. There are some widgets I am unable to add to MyWidgets. Switching STBs actually changed which widgets I couldn't add, although The Weather Channel couldn't be added on either of them.
ERROR: We are currently unable to process your request. Please try again later.
5. Clock slows down over a short period of time, so after a while I start missing the end of my recorded shows. It can be fixed for a short while with a refresh from Verizon, so I guess I'd have to do this every week or 2?. That's not an acceptable workaround, especially considering I'd be waiting on hold for 10 minutes or more each time. I tried setting all my recordings to stop recording a minute later, but I run into problems with that, and I'll miss some shows altogether.
Does anyone know if they are trying to fix this? Can't they just point everything to a Time Server? I know, I'm sure it's not that easy, but still.
I really want to like FIOS, but I'm seriously considering going back to Comcast, which I never thought I'd do.

Sounds very familiar...to my experience. I encourage you to keep at it ("the greasy wheel that gets the grease"-"we don't have a history of you calling"-->there's no problem) and don't let the 1st-line of tech support follow the scripts to get by ("another call closed"): turn this off, wait 30 secs, turn it back on, whatever "it" is. Agree with you on the "in-home agent". Escalate it...and see how many beyond the 1st line supervisor will call you back. Good luck! -
Just installed Mac OS X 10.8.5 on a Mac Pro 2010 platform.
The App Store shows there is an upgrade, so I click the download button.
After about 2 hrs the process stops and an Error (102) appears on the screen.
Any idea what goes wrong?

If the App Store is showing 10.8.5 as an update, what do you currently have installed? The final update to Mountain Lion was 10.8.5, and since the basic OS installation of Mountain Lion is no longer offered in the App Store, that would suggest you're currently at an earlier version of Mountain Lion - 10.8.x where x=less than 5. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting the 10.8.5 update. There is also a Supplemental Update for 10.8.5 and that may be what the App Store is offering.
