I have no master area? What am I doing wrong?
Windows stack on top of each other and there's no master area. I'm having trouble googling this.
I've only started using dwm last night and I like it. Alt+h or Alt+l doesn't seem to change anything.

I purchased Lion and installed it my first Mac. I then went back to the apple store using my laptop to install Lion. Under purchases it tells me I have no purchases. What am I doing wrong?
Another option is to DL with the first Mac and save a copy of the installer app. Then, just copy it to the other machines and stop wasting resources DLing for each machine.

I have the HDMI cable hooked up directly to the TV and I do not have an optical hook up directly on the tv. The receiver is in a separate room. Not close enough to connect to the receiver. Can I connect the apple TV though my DVD player which has a HDMI port and in the same room as the receiver? -

You may want to check ur settings. when you plug in ur ipod make sure it is highlighted then at the top of the page you will see tabs Summary Music Podcast Info....click on the MUSIC tab...in that box there will be 2 options:
Sync Music
Entire Music Library
Selected playlist, artist, albums, and genres
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHECKED OFF ENTIRE MUSIC LIBRARY

What am I doing wrong with the _ visibility property?
I have an object that is a movie clip, and I want this object to disappear when you click on him, but also the button that makes the object to appear to make also the object to disappear.Either way, when you click on the object or on the button the second time, the same object to disappear. I managed to do that, but the first time when you click the button in order to make the object appear it dosen't work, you have to click twice.What am I doing wrong? The object it's a movie clip named frez1, and the button is named fr1. I put this codes in the main timeline: for the movie clip : frez1.onPress = function(){ _root.frez1.gotoAndStop(2); _root.frez1.gotoAndStop(1); } for the button: frez1._visible = false; fr1.onRelease = function(){ frez1._visible = !frez1._visible; } The button and the object are on different layers. Yes the movie clip switching between frames and 1-2 it is turning him invisible.
So in order to make him go between this two frames I have to put the visibity property and not the root ?

I purchased an mp3 from a private website on my laptop. The itunes library i sync ipod to is on my desktop, so i copied the mp3 onto a flash drive and then into my desktop in the Downloads folder and Desktop folder as well as the itunes music folder, 3 places. I opened itunes on the desktop and read the instructions for importing music that's already in my computer. Neither the drag-and-drop or the Add File to Library method works. I've tried both ways over and over. Cannot figure out what the problem is. I do note that the name of the mp3 file doesn't show the .mp3 extension, it appears as simply it's title, Eating Healthy, without any extension at all. Could the filename be the problem, or do you have any other idea what I'm doing wrong? My OS is Windows 7, using IE9. Thanks.
ADDENDUM AFTER READING ANOTHER DISCUSSION HERE: I have now tried right clicking the song in Windows Explorer and choosing Open With, clicking itunes. The mp3 plays in itunes but does not add to the library.I don't have a Recently Added playlist. However, I discovered that the file I had named Eating Healthy was given the name You Can Enjoy Eating Healthy when it copied to iTunes. I'm guessing iTunes pulled the full name of the piece from the internet. Upshot--the mp3 did transfer to iTunes on all 3 tries, but I was looking in my alphabetized list under E, not Y, so I didn't see it there. Thanks for your help.

Thank you both very much for your assistance. I was able to figure out why the Adobe Application Manager kept failing on installing the patches. Idiot me didn't unzip them first. Once I unzipped the patch files, the installer worked fine. Both patches are now successfully installed; my FM version is now 12.0.2..
To answer some of your questions:
Yes, I have administrator privileges on my PC.
Yes, I had all of the files in the book opened when I generated and/or updated the LOR file. So that was not the issue.
With the patches installed, I opened a book and all of its files. I updated the LOR and all works fine – it gives me all of the Imported Graphic references. So there must have been an issue with that release of FM12 (12.0.0.329), which was fixed with the patches.

Why are my emails not deleting from all devices when deleted from one? I have iCloud mail set up and turned on. I have ipad2, iPhone 5 and a Mac desktop. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
It depends on the type of email account you are using, not on iCloud. If you are using an IMAP or exchange account, when you delete from one device, it is deleted from all devices. If you are using a POP (POP3) account, it won't. (iCloud email, Gmail and Yahoo are all IMAP accounts.)

I have turned my keychain 'on' on both my i phone 5 and my ipad. the instructions online say I should just follow the on screen instructions to set this up, but there are none. What I am doing wrong?
Apps downloaded on one should also appear on the other as long as the app in question runs on both iPads and iPhones.

Is iPhoto open when you connect the camera and are you seeing the camera in iPhoto?
If not then describe in detail how you're going about trying to import photos from your Samsung camer into your iPhoto Library. From what you've described we have no idea what's going on.
And where is this "import" folder located that you're referring to?

I have always been able to sync my IE bookmarks from my desktop to Safari on my iPhone. Suddenly they are gone from my phone and they won't sync any longer. What am I doing wrong?
I have done this on numerous occasions but I think that my Iphone has a defect. After many tries, reinstalls, deletion of content, changing content to be stored on external hard drive, deleting itunes and cleaning computer I managed to get all of the songs on and things seemed okay for a while.
The problem returned about a week ago after downloading a new album from Itunes. I now have 12.5k of songs leaving 10gb spare on Iphone which should be more than enough room to operate properly. Last night it seemed to be dowloading ok (after doing all of the above again for the umpteenth time) this morning it revealed that it had just synched 2.5k of songs and 18gb of "other" on the contents bar. it wont synch now as it says its over capacity. So the 18gb of "other" would probably be corrupted data that means it must corrupt each song as it tries to synch it.
The 2.5k of songs it did synch are working on the Iphone as is every song in the library on Itunes. I did completely delete the new album I bought and redownloaded it from the store then tried to synch just that album and it worked fine.
Just about time to dump apple I think! -
Notes between my iPhone and Mac are not syncing. I have an iCloud account, and Notes are turned on... what am I doing wrong??? Everything else seems to sync just fine.

Every time I sync my iCal on my computer through iTunes with my iPhone 4 or iPad, duplicate entries are generated on both systems. What am I doing wrong or how can I avoid the duplications? I have been doing this for several years and this problem is a more recent issue, like in the last 6 months. I have been deleting the duplicate entries, on both systems, but some duplicates reappear through "general" entries that are connected to the correct color for a Calendar, but not the name. I am going nuts and wasting tons of hours trying to get the 3 calendars to sync without generating duplicate entries.
Choose one of the Calenders on ONE of the computers OR the MobileMe as the Master / correct account.
The REINITAILISE the data of MobileMe within preferences on the computer defining the datatransfer correctly (in the advanced box of preferences). The synchronise iphone contacts and calender directly on-line to MobileMe.

I am trying to use motion tracking to have text follow a section of the background.The text box follows the motion path, but the text just sits there. What am I doing wrong?
Motion basically looks at the the source footage and it's timing (in the timing section of the Inspector) when analyzing for tracking. Filters are basically ignored by the tracker. Retiming actions, like time re-mapping, or retiming behaviors that are applied before the tracker should be used by the tracker. Did you change the timing after doing the tracking? If so this would also require you to re-track the shot. Understanding that you found a workaround, describing the effects you applied would help to explain why you ran into problems.
