I have a problem iPhone 5s. His version 8.1(12b411) of the problem is I have gone absorption device search and found impression absorption disappears modem firmware also has a version I installed it but it does not help I do not know what to do please help

The modem firmware has nothing to do with the SIM card or WiFi. Was your 4S EVER jailbroken?, See this reguarding grayed out WiFi setting:

Thank you for the answers so far, but I'll make one correction: I said earlier that the Boston Globe website, boston.com, does not have a mobile site, and I would need to visit their regular website on my iPhone. Actually, I just found out that boston.com has a mobile site, so I'd obviously use that instead of the regular site. By doing that, I'd save a ton of data (I think). Does that change your answers?

IPhone 4 (not S) - iOS 7 - Modem Firmware will not update

I updated my iphone 4 from ios 5.1.1 to ios 7.0.2 today mainly to update my modem firmware since my connectivity is very poor.
I read online that updating should help, but the firmware is still at 3.0.04 not at 4.12.09 that wikipedia shows it should have updated to.
My phone is not jailbroken and I updated to ios 7 with itunes. What gives?
My phone model is MD146LL/A and itunes installed ios version 7.0.2 (11A501)

Iphone 3GS Modem Firmware 5.16.05

I upgraded my Iphone 3gs to Ios5 and I didn't know that the modem firmware also upgraded to 5.16.05. I then downgraded my os to 4.3.1 hoping that the baseband would also downgrade. Never thought it would be irreversible. Now i can't unlock my phone.:( I need to upgrade my modem firmware to Ipad baseband for me to unlock my phone. Well i read that if i upgraded to 6.15.00 it will affect the GPS of the phone. Any other solutions for this? Thanks guys!

Downgrading the iOS is NOT supported at all, and also voids your warranty. You cannot get help on this forum per the Terms of Use. You'll have to look elsewhere for help.

Those options don't exist for the iPhone. You can only restore to the most recent version (without doing some acrobatics outside of iTunes).
But the overwhelming majority of iPhone users have no problems with 3.0, and the few that do can almost always fix it. But the ones who can't are naturally (and justifiably) quite vocal.

Restore your phone as a new device in iTunes, this "should" remove the jailbreak & restore all default apps to your phone.

The answer is very simple: You were not the original owner of the phone. Target sold you a phone that had been returned. You can verify the date of the original sale here: Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage. I suspect you will find that the warranty expiration date is not one year from the date that you bought it.

You restore from the backup that contained them.
Restoring from a backup is all or nothing. It completely overwrites the data in the phone when you restore. You can not combine the contents of a backup with what's currently on your phone.

Thinking of taking mine to an apple store in the UK and it will more than likely just be replaced.

I would expect they will not. I got a replacement 3G back in mid October which still had 3.1 or 3.1.1 on it. First time I sync'd it with iTunes in updated to 3.1.2. Phones with 3.1.3 will probably cycle into inventory over time, but I am pretty sure they don't update existing stock.

My phone has stopped identifying Modem firmware, SIM and IME number

My iphone has stopped identifying modem firmware and IME number and has stopped identifying my SIM. It keeps on saying searching even if the SIM is inserted. Since I live in Nepal the authorized reseller said that it should be exchanged in the place where there is an apple store . And my 1 year warranty has also not finished. So what should i do now there is no apple store in my country.

Warranty is valid only in country of original purchase. You will have to either
take the iPhone personally or send it to a friend/relative/co-worker in that
country for them to take it to Apple.
Loss of modem firmware and IMEI are generally the result of 2 things:
1] hardware failure which is covered by warranty in country of original purchase; or
2] failed attempt to hack or modify the iPhone to use other than original wireless
provider - this is not covered by warranty nor will you be able to get a reduced
price Out of Warranty replacement on the iPhone if this is the case.
Return the iPhone to the country of original purchase for evaluation (EU is considered
one country for this purpose).

I bought an iPhone 5 about 2 months back from our local market in Bangladesh. It was working fine with my Grameenphone SIM. Certainly 2 days back after wake up from slip in the morning i found my phone is not working it showing searching........instead of my phone career name.
I thought it was my SIM problem and that's why i replace with another Nano SIM but no luck. I went to the shop today to discuss the matter, then they told me about a service shop, i went there and they checked and found that the IMEI no is invisible at (Modem Firmware box) and told that's why it does not work.
Then they offered my that the can try to solve this and finally it's not solved and now all menu also disappeared. Only showing the cable sign.
I am surprise how that no goes out even i did not do anything and would kindly help me to sort this problem.
I will be so happy if you kindly help me to resolve this problem.

Thanks for your quick response. I tried to do the same through my windows laptop and mac machine through iTunes. Finally it shows error no (-1) while restoring Firmware. I am attaching the error bellow. Please help what should i do now.
