I have no more TM preferences, help!
I was having trounles running TM even for the first time and so I did a little bit of research, I run into someone in a forum here saying that deleting manually the TM preferences and then reformatting the HD, would have solved the problem, so I followed his advise.
Now not only I can't run TM, but I can't even open the preferences because there aren t any more preferences, I deleted them.
what can I do now?

yeah, always make sure that you can define what to delete. Otherwise, is it possible to restore the file?

You can look at the material stored and see what you don't need and delete. But a better way is to get an external hard drive and move large quantities of material to the external storage. That will free up internal storage capacity.

Stuck on build 9841, for a while :/, only have 10 more days PLEASE HELP
I got Windows 10 a while ago, but I got distracted and forgot about it for a while, and I have tried to update it from build 9841 it just wouldn't do it. I tried the fbl_release already and it didn't work. PLEASE HELP ONLY 10 MORE DAYS!!

Have you tried downloading build 10041 ISO and use it to install ?

If you did download the 10041 ISO, what method did you use to install ?
In case you don't know, your have 2 options :
1. Burn the ISO to a bootable DVD or an USB with at least 4 GB capacity, and then use it to do a clean install.
2. Just go to the folder where the downloaded ISO is kept > right click at it > click Mount > click Setup.exe.
The system will start installing and you can keep your personal files and settings. You might have to reinstall the 3rd party programs.
***** After you have build 10041 installed, go to Settings > Update & Recovery > right side, click Advanced options > under Choose how preview builds are installed, change from Fast to Slow.
Why change to Slow ring ?
Microsoft is trying to fix the slow install of the current build 10049. They are unable to find a solution.
Stay in Slow ring until MS can figure out how to fix that. -

I have Windows 8 and Itunes 11.1.2. When I click on the Itunes desktop shortcut, Itunes won't open. I just the icon go to the taskbar and nothing more. Please help.
Delete the shortcut and make a new one. The 'real' application will probably be fine if you launch it from the Start/Programs menu.

I need help with my serial number. I downloaded soundbooth cs3 to restore my downloaded purchase, but my serial number is not being accepted. I have 16 more days to resolve this. Reset, hold both the Home and Power buttons for about 10 seconds until the iPhone begins to start. If still problem, and your decide to Restore your iPhone, try DFU Mode Restore. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time.

Tap the little claendar icon at the top left (next to the search icon) and see what calendars are set up in WeekCal. If none are enabled, then enable the one(s) you want to use.

Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

swain.There are no client tools on Linux or Unix in general. To get client tool on Windows, download CR 2008 server for windows and install just client tools. It'll fall under your existing license.

I am feeling so ripped off right now. I have wanted a Mac for years and believed the hype about it's stability and I have had more trouble with this Imac 2011 than I have ever had with a pc. It locks up with several software products from APP store. I have already had to have a technician to look at it and really couldn't figure out what the deal was. I was told that the APP store software should give me no problems but the truth is that it locks up on the software. This machine is only 4 weeks old and I am using 37 g on a 1 T hard drive. There is no reason for it to be locking up. Also, when I try to use the help program, it always tells me that I am not connected to the internet even though I have used both the mail program and the browser with no problem just before that. I successfully used the help program on my pc lots of times. I did not need a $2000. plus machine to just get email. I just wanted to unload on somebody that might understand my pain and after checking out this site...I think there is a few of you out there.
I was told that the APP store software should give me no problems but the truth is that it locks up on the software.
The apps downloaded from the Mac App Store are written by third party developers, not Apple. If you have problems with those apps you need to visit the support area for their websites. Launch the App Store, locate the app name. You should see a support link.

Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.helpviewer.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash. Restart your Mac, try the Help menu.
If you need help finding that file, hold down the Finder icon in the Dock then click: New Finder Window. From the menu bar top of your screen click: Go > Go to Folder. Type this in exactly as you see it here: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpviewer.plist That will take you right to that file.
(.plist) files stores information about a particular app or in this case, the Help viewer. Often times deleting the .plist file resolves the issue.
It's fine to "unload"... we understand that you expect your iMac to be stable but there are times when things go awry. That's why we have these forums so that you can you get help.
