did you put your Air to sleep with headphones attached, or closed the monitor with phones attached?
Do not sleep your Air (close the monitor with headphones attached) with headphones attached, this is known to affect some Air under Mavericks.
* this occurrence is being looked into.
Much testing on my own and others as well show that, in some instances, this occurs in Mavericks.
If you choose you may contact Apple for an appt and diagnostics.
However as said, refrain from having phones attached when you close the monitor to prevent this until it is resolved
Test this and re-verify

Upgrade only goes as far as 10.5.8 in 10.5, you need to Upgrade to 10.6, then Update to 10.6.8..

To upgrade to Lion (10.7) you need to purchase it from the App Store ($20).
Before any major software update be sure to have a complete backup.
Note that when upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion you will lose the capability to run PPC applications through Rosetta. For example AppleWorks will go away.

Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
     Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
     COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and
     after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.
     Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
     Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
     Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. That is because they do not generally pair. What is it that you are trying to do by connecting them via Bluetooth? If you are referring to AirDrop or continuity, then all you need to do is have Bluetooth turned on, they do not pair.

You may delete Numbers 08 if you wish, but some folks like keeping it around. Close all your Numbers docs and Quit the Numbers app, and the other Numbers app if necessary.Then click the Numbers icon on your doc. Then select Numbers > About Numbers, and in the window that pops up, see which version it is. If the Dock icon started Numbers 08, you can cure that by dragging that icon off the Dock and letting it go in a puff of virtual smoke.
Now, to put the Numbers 09 icon on the Dock, double-click one of those known Numbers 09 documents so that Numbers 09 starts up. Verify by checkig Numbers > about Numbers.
Now click and hold the Numbers Dock icon and select the Option for Keep in Dock.

If you mean saving the project files; iCloud, Dropbox, Skydrive will do this.
If you mean the application, then definitely not possible.

Your computer is too old to support native mirroring. You can use 3rd party software like Airparrot, though results will vary so try it first.

Uninstalling or reinstalling the iTunes application won't affect your music (data) -- but it's always a good idea to have a backup!
