I have no sound unless I use the headset?

Can anyone suggest what I can try. The phone doesn't ring. You can't hear anything sounds at all unless I plug the headset in.

Is the silent switch on the side of the iphone on?

I also want to make it very clear that I am highly disappointed with this glitch. your tablet would be #1 in my eyes otherwise.. I want my sound back RiM, make it work.
Based on the above i think you might have a hardware issue and only a call to support will get it addressed.
it does have a 1 year warranty on it by RIM. Place of purchase might be 30 days or longer depending on where you bought it from.

Look to the right in the "more like this" box. Your issue as already been addressed (ad nauseum, I may add).

Neither Firefox or other web browser will access the net UNLESS I use the restore feature. The next day the problem occurs again and again I have to use the restore feature? It works on my laptop so not ISP problem do I have a trojan or something?

It seems that no browser will work. Firefox is my preferred browser but IE wont work either unless I use the restore function and then they work fine. However if I close my computer down for any reason they wont work and again I have to use the restore function. My email program works just fine (I use Agent) my ISP says there is no problem with my connection. My Firefox on my laptop works just fine and it uses the same connection as my desktop where the problem is.

Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

I have a wired keyboard which won't work with my MacBook Air unless I use the extension cable supplied with the apple keyboard. Is this normal or have I got a connection problem?

I Have an apple wired keyboard which suddenly won't work unless I use the apple ext cable supplied with the keyboard...used with the wire fixed into the keyboard it just won't respond. Do u think the keyboard is faulty. ? I want to use it with my MacBook Air and a big screen.

My best guess is that either there's a small deformation of the USB plug of your keyboard or some foreign matter (like lint) inside the keyboard plug. When I was setting up my new lab last year I had to use the extension cables and I found that the female end of the extension cable was considerably tighter than the computer's USB port. If an Apple store is nearby it would be worth taking the computer, keyboard, and extension just for piece of mind.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound. Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon; press home again to exit the taskbar. Have since upgraded the e-mail address in account manger, but it still locks me out and rejects my user name and password when I try to log in. Sounds like some needed System Fonts wre replaced by bad ones. Y also have Font Book in Applications for validating fonts & checking for duplicates.
Required Fonts from 10.3, much the same in 10.4...

then intall the Fonts what you need from your Install Disk.
Or do a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Yes, when I disable the conversations add-on, I can then get to the attachment...but I like the conversations add-on otherwise and it used to handle the attachments just fine.

Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this.

I have verified the sharing folder and also the remote access but it not let me turn it off.

The computer is mine, the internet I use is payed by me with a password. I did not give permission to anyone to use my computer or share my files.

With the multitude of issues you have I would take it to an Apple store or AASP and have them sort it out. Then I would sign up for Apple camp or one on one.

Unfortunately, you cannot change your primary @me.com or @icloud.com email address, you could however create an alias or create a completely new account.

you can use the same itunes id for purchases and so on, but have separate icloud id's for imessaging and all the icloud stuff. it's not preferable, but it isn't a problem either.
