I had the same problem with my phone, its a 3gs, out of no where my laptop stop recognizing it and wouldnt charge either, i got worried because i had all my pix and videos on my phone and didn't have a copy, so i started searching on the internet for an answer to my issue, bought extra usb cables, used different laptops and nothing worked .. Untill i took my cell phone apart and thought about replacing the (charge port assembly for apple Iphone 3gs) so ordered the part online and 3 days later got it and i just replaced it right now... and guess what/??? IT WORKED!!! YEAP.. NOW MY CELL IS CHARGING AND I JUST SYNC MY STUFF.. I HOPE THIS CAN SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM... AND ONLY COST ME 8 DLLS

You need a "Core 2 Duo" for lion, and I'm guessing you only have a "Core Duo" My wife's macbook is also a "Core Duo" and has Snow Leapord, but cannot install Lion.....

The 3GS was not sold as an unlocked phone in the US 2 years ago and AT&T did not offer unlocking then.
You bought a hacked phone. The Apple servers can detect the hack and have now disabled activation. Contact AT&T and find out if you qualify to have it unlocked or buy a new legitimately unlocked phone.

That is the way it works. It designed to do that.
In addition to everything else you have to this other person's computer you would have to move your complete iTunes library over also. Only then will it recognize youriTouch.

How do i save a copy of my emails on the server on a macook pro? I am having a problem when using hotmail on my new macbook, they say it is set pop3? i have not idea what this means!

Check your mail preferences. The example below is from the mail app that comes with mac. In my case I'm using yahoo mail which is a POP3 account. POP stands for post office protocol which is the set of rules used by a POP mail account to transfer mail. You can learn more about it here if interested. If the box below is checked, all the mail will be downloaded to your computer when you check your mail using the built in mail app and removed from the mail server. Syncing only works from your computer to your iPad/iPhone, not the other way around. So you can only transfer your purchased music from the iPhone to your computer.

If I push it back open it cuts off again. So, I just leave it part way open and turn the laptop at an angle so that I can continue to see the screen & type. It acts like there is a short. My iphoto library folder with files of my pictures is missing from the pictures folder, only the application icon remains. I have read through similar discussions but have not managed to fix the problem with the recommended solutions. Can anyone help?

I have a Macbook Pro with iphoto '08 running on Mac OS X version 10.5.8. I used to be able to go to my pictures folder on my HD and access my pictures via that iphoto library folder. There used to be a small arrow next to the iphoto icon with all the albums then listed within the folder (to the right). That arrow is now gone and all I have is the iphoto application icon which just reopens iphoto when I click on it, but I want to be able to access the data files. Somehow I do have files btwn 2008 and 2009 but it hasn't created these since then...Could someone please help me to restore this ability? I have read other similar posts but they seem to be related to lost data all together and I do luckily have all my pictures in iphoto still. I just can't access them in the pictures folder which means I can't access them on my external hard drive. I am now out of start up disc space somehow so I figured I had to delete some albums (I have 12,090 pictures) and do have them backed up but want to make sure I can go back for them when I need them. I did export all the pictures to a folder on the hard drive but it is all 12,090 in one long list with only numbers as names and not in any order, this will be a nightmare to access later! Please help! Thank you!

You can’t open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto.
That indicates that that is your library. Put it in your Pictures folder if it already isn't there and make sure it's named "iPhoto Library". It should look like this:
Now launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and select that library to open. If you get that same message close iPhoto and try the following;
Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I licensed PS Tuesday and used it fine but today it is not reactive - What is the problem

I recenly decided PS3 was no longer working for me so installed the trial for new PS and it worked great so I licensed it Tuesday and it worked well but cant get it to work today. it opens but is not reactive.
Spent hours on hold but cant get any help.
