I have nothing but trouble putting podcasts on my devices.

With earlier versions of iTunes, I could just check the box of the podcast I wanted, and it would load onto my device. With the current version (11 and later), when I try to check the box, nothing happens. Sometimes I can check the box below the podcast I want, and the one above it will check and other times it won't. The best way to get podcasts is to click on the little elipsis (3 dots) right next to the podcast title and select "Add To..." and click the device to which I want to add the podcast. There is absolutely NO way to delete a podcast once you've put it onto the device. With earlier versions, all you had to do was uncheck the box when you were done listening to the podcast, and it would go away. It doesn't matter which device I'm using, iPod Nano, iPhone, or iPad. Does somebody have a solution?

Since the message you see says that the file type is not suppoorted by the iPod, then my question is do you mean MP3 when you say MPEG?
Your Touch should be able to play MP3 files in 48Kbps format. However, I notice you also say that the files are greyed out in your Library. So are these files in the Books section of your Library (as audio files) and can you play them in iTunes?
Perhaps a quick solution would be to try and convert the files (in iTunes) to a format that the Touch definitely likes.

Before you revert anything try this:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

i downloaded firefox update, had nothing but troubles since, computer crashing when i try to open, or cursor lag for a long time ie. i try to move to do something it has to think about for 30 seconds to having to pushing reset to get anthing hapening
but still freezes up i put my comp into a very good repair store cost me $119 to only to find no problem with computer, they had it running ,burning , doing everything properly, but they were using ie, as soon as i stoped that and went to firefox, back to lag etc. com bluescreen then crashing when i got home twice so far tried using previous version in system same problem, how do i send my bookmarks from firefox to ie on this system, so i can completely uninstall then reistall a fresh earlier version

Turn off updating to keep your good working version or you will be forced to use the new version that is missing some well used features.

K9A2 Platinum - Nothing but Trouble!!!

OK, Well I purchased this board today, and from the off, I had constant blue screens, I fixed that by going into SafeMode (with networking enabled) and deleting 2 copys of the file 'AMDLLD64.SYS' from the system files after reading that this was causing the same issues for other people
and after that I have gotton into my OS fine, but on the odd occation I just get sudden freezes/crashes (the whole OS just pauses on my screen) and sometimes just goes to a black screen and restarts
and the extra software/utillities that come on the disc dont work properly!
I had previously owned an MSI board and even then I had nothing but trouble, but after the reviews I deceided to buy another MSI product, But after this, I believe that MSI pays off the reviewers to get a good review :(
If any of you know a good place to find a guide to loads of workarounds for this board then I will be more than greatful!

Best advice: do a fresh install of Vista x64--and *don't overclock anything*--at least until you get your system 100% stable, first.
That way, if overclocking is a problem you'll know exactly what causes it.

PC Suite 6.83--Nothing But Trouble

I was sent 6.83 over the Internet and anxiously installed the program on Win XP Home SP2 computer. Instead, I have had nothing but trouble. Nokia told me it was a MS problem. MS said it was my computer's manufacuturer's problem (Dell). Dell said that I had to reformat my hard drive (and you know how long that takes!).
I've done all that and have been reloading programs, but PC Suite still doesn't work:
-sometimes the icon keep spinning endlessly and only stops when I restart the computer.
-sometimes it connects once, then not again.
-I have reinstalled it at least twice and now I can't get the program to uninstall.

However, this has not helped. I tried reloading an older version of PC Suite from the CD that I purchased with the cable as told byNokia tech support.
Again, I got the cable driver unloaded but not PC Suite.
Of interest is that when I click to uninstall PC Suite from the Add and Remove Programs site, the program which pops up is the new 6.83 version Installation program--not the uninstall program.
I am about ready to throw in the towel and go to my Pocket PC as my PIM and use the phone only on the 6682 until I can get a Windows Mobile Phone.
This has left a bad taste for me to Nokia and Symbian OS.

When I was updating my ipod touch to the new iOS last night it died and now I have nothing but a white screen. iTunes no longer recongnizes the device and it won't turn off when I hold the power button or when I hold the power and home screen button.

Check that the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible and that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is still placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
* Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button

I have a mid-2010 13"macbook pro which I have had nothing but trouble with since upgrading the OS to Lion.

My questions are how can I uninstall Lion and revert back to Snow Leopard, and will this causes all my settings to revert back to default mode?

Downgrade Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.
Because this erases the drive and installs a new copy of Snow Leopard, you are effectively back to an original factory install of Snow Leopard.

I am so discusted with this whole thing. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and paid way more than I should have. Well if you got the Phone Pggray43 at a Local Corporate store in your Area) you should be able to return it as long as you have all the contents.! Phone, Charger and any other accessories that came with it the Box of Course.. As long as you have not went past the 14 Day return.. the store can go over what you used as in Air Time and Data..
Now if you've went past the 14 Day return you be Liable to pay a E.T.F = Early Termination Fee the fee for this is around $300 so hopefully you have not went past the 14 Day return window the Manager if Available is the one I would talk to tell them your on Social Security and you just can't afford a phone as this I'm sure they'll work with you to get something solved..

Since upgrading to Firefox 4 I have had nothing but trouble. How do I downgrade and not lose my bookmarks? Or just downgrade without uninstalling Firefox?

It won't load properly, freezes, crashes unexpectedly, won't pull up PDF files from web sites and has issues running with hotmail. I've used Firefox for years and have never had this kind of problem. How do I downgrade to an older version? The new version 4 is obviously not ready to run and is riddled with problems.
