The iTune cannot detect my iPhone 4S. I have already tried all methods suggested, including re-installling iTune, re-activating Apple Mobile Device, plugging in various USB ports, and etc. I use windows 7. How can I solve this?
The new cable is completely new, and my computer can detect the phone as a drive, and battery charging is ok. So I believe the USB cable works properly. It is so weird that just iTune itself cannot detect the phone, and it is of the most updated version. What else can I do? Thanks.

So when I plug my iPhone 3GS into my iMac, for music reasons, it says I have 123 songs. When I plug my iTouch into my iMac it says I have 565 songs on my iTouch. I have the same apple idea for both my iPhone and iTouch, how do I transfer my 565 songs on my iTouch to my iPhone? PLEASE HELP!!!
When you connect your iPad or iPod to the Mac, click on the device name in iTunes - don't click on the arrow on the device. Then click on the Music tab in the main window pane. Now you should see 'Sync Music' and all your playlists, artists and albums. Here you mark the checkboxes for what should be synced.

Keep receiving "USB Over Current Notices" since updating to OSX 10.6.8. I have no devices plugged into my Imac and running everything wireless. SMC/PRAM resetting did not work. Does anyone have some advice or can help?

Pretty strange, but...
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, does it happen in Safe Mode? Reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.) -
MY iPhone 5C suddenly stopped working. It wont connect to my Mac and repeatedly reboots from the apple Logo when plugged into the wall.
There is no water damage or anything. I got that checked at the Apple store. I also have Apple Care + but didnt let them give me a new one yet because I have photos on this that I have no yet backed up that are very important. They are the last photos I have with my grandfather. Can anyone help me. Please!If the phone shows the "connect to iTunes" screen, the data on the phone is most likely lost.
Connecting in recovery mode is your only chance to use the phone again, besides getting it serviced by Apple.

Try placing the iPodin recovery mode and then try to restore the iPod via iTunes on your computer. For recovery mode see:

Next would be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since you likely have a hardware problem. -
We have two iPads. mine is the first one purchased. I opened iTunes to put some photos from the Mac to my wife's iPad. I plugged in my wife's iPad. Both ipads have the same apple id and password. iTunes synced everything from my iPad to my wife's iPad. Now we have two identical iPads looking like mine. Everything on her ipad seems gone and replaced with mine, all her recent holiday photos, emails, settings, etc etc seem gone.

I worked with files in LR that were originally on my C drive, then were moved to an external HD for storage. I now want to do some more work on those files (which have the same file name as on the C drive). I plugged the drive into my computer and it shows in LR under folders as the F drive and the little green light is on, but LR is showing only the first 6 files and not the remaining 200 or so. How do I expand the F folder to expose all files?

My nano blinks the apple logo when plugged into a charger and will not respond to any reset commands, anyone have experiance with this problem?
By a reset, I assume you meaning pressing and holding both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons (or Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons on the 6G Nano) long enough for the Apple logo to appear?
What happens if you try to manually place the iPod into Disk Mode? If you can do that, I would recommend connecting the iPod to iTunes and restoring it.

My printer does not show up in the add a printer option on my iMac when plugged into the extreme. I have a HP officejet 5610 All-in-One. I want to be able to print wirelessly using my Airport Extreme. Thank you
Is there a difference between AirPrint and printing via usb printer plugged into an AirPort Exreme?
Big difference.
AirPrint for one will not work via USB, so you will not be able to print from an iOS device like an iPhone or iPad using this type of connection unless you look at additional software....that may or may not allow this option.
Assuming that you get the All-in-One setup using the USB port on the AirPort.......only printing is supported.
You will not be able to use any other advanced features like maintenance, scan, copy, fax, etc when the device is connected to the USB port on an AirPort.
If you plan to use the HP for other things, I would strongly recommend that you connect it to your computer.

This usually indicates that your printer model is not supported. Check with HP Support to see if they have any updated Macintosh drivers for the 5610 that you could download and install that might allow this.

My ipods screen is black and wont turn on unless plugged into the wall not the computer but when i plug it into the computer and put it in DFU mode it wont restore there is an error 3194 and error 1602 and nothing i do helps
Here's what I found about error 1602:
Error 1600, 1601, 1602: Try the following steps to resolve this error:
Ensure proper USB isolation troubleshooting has been performed, and test with a known-good cable.
Follow the steps listed for Error 1604.
This error may be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.
Error 1603: If you receive this error and the iOS device is not automatically placed into recovery mode, it may be necessary to do so manually. Refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore for steps on placing iPhone into forced recovery mode. Also, remove the IPSW and attempt to restore again. If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
This device is not eligible for the requested build: Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194." If you receive this alert,update to the latest version of iTunes. Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart. Also, using an older or modified .ipsw file can cause this issue. Try moving the current .ipsw file, or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.
Error 3194 is also seen when somebody is trying to restore jailbroken devices. -
I tried to download IOS 7.0.3 to my iphone 4 and a screen popped up that shows a cord with an arrow to itunes. i connected it to itunes and a little screen popped up with my phone on it. The only option on their for me to click was cancel or reset. I decided to reset it and when it said it was finished a screen popped up on my computer that said that something was preventing the download from happening. I did this 3 times. Nothing has worked.I unplugged it and held the lock and home button together and an apple came up, so i did it again and it told me to plug into itunes again. Its been like this since yesterday so please help me.
it says " itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes" so i restore it and after it gets finished it says " the iphone :iphone" could not be restored. the device cannot be found" but ive used this itunes since i got this phone.

Apple logo when plugged into wall, nothing when connected to computer
I think my iPhone may have finally met its last days. This week while on my honeymoon in Puerto Rico, I jumped into a waterfall with my phone in my pocket. Crap! I pulled my phone out of my pocket, and it still worked fine. I started praising my Otterbox for saving it. 3 hours later I arrived back at my hotel room, and the phone wouldn't turn on. Weird because it was working for a couple of hours. 3 days later and anytime that I plug it into the wall all I get is an apple logo that comes in goes every few seconds. I tried a reset and no luck.
When plugged into the wall, I can hold the home and the lock buttons, and it shows me a picture that says to connect it to iTunes but it disappears after half a second. However, whenever I plug it into the computer I get NOTHING. No apple logo, nothing in the device center that shows I'm even connected.
Is there any hope for me? Any help is much appreciated. I have over 200 pictures from my wedding and honeymoon that I don't want to lose.Sorry, disregard the last response; I can't edit it. You should dry it BEFORE trying different cables. The safest way to go about this is dry your iPhone inside-out and to not turn it on until it's dry. Maybe there is a little moisture stuck inside preventing it from booting, but if you're lucky, it's not permanently damaged. The best way I've heard of to dry it is to leave it overnight in a tight bag with dry rice or, better yet, silica packets (those anti-moisture things found in packaged items). Maybe longer if you want to be extra safe. If it still doesn't charge without the Apple logo flashing, try using different Lightning to USB cables. Maybe it's just a bad cable, but you shouldn't test that until you've dried your phone.
