I have one iPad that will connect to our wifi but I have another one that will not, why is that
I have an iPad that will not connect to the wifi at our house. My sister also has an iPad and it connects automatically. Mine is the only one that will not. I can't figure how to get it to work. I have taken my iPad other places with wifi and it connects right away. I know that some wifi systems have a limit on how many things can connect to them but I have even gone so far as turn off the wifi on every device that we have that connects to the wifi and it still doesn't work. I don't know what to do or how to get it to work?
Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
iPad: Issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3304
iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199
Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

If any of the above solutions work, please post back what solved your problem. It will help others with the same problem.

My laptop says it is connected to our wifi but it also says alert: you are not connected to the internet! Does anyone know how I can fix this/has it happened to anyone? Thanks
This usually indicates a problem with your router or cable modem, your ISP's service or cabling outside your house. First thing I'd try is rebooting the router/cable modem (turn it off, wait 1 minute, then turn it back on).

I have added an iPhone 4 to my household and the wifi in our home no longer works for my iPhone 4S or the new iPhone 4. Both will connect to the wifi, but we are not able to view anything i.e. google just runs circles, app store just runs loading, gps on maps not found just runs? I have check all wifi issues with ATT&T, Verizon network all believe that it is the phones? I am confused as my 4S worked fine before adding the 4 to the mix....any thoughts are hits to what to do
Have you rebooted your home router?

My iPhone will connect to my wifi but then the internet won't work?
Try holding down the power button until it says "slide to power off" slide, and wait about 20 seconds, then hold the power button down again until you see the apple logo.

Both my brother and i have an ipod touch 4g. before this we both had an ipod touch 3g. I got my 4g before he did and mine connected to our wifi first time and i haven't had any problems. my brother got his today and i have tried repeatedly to connect it to wifi but it just wont work. I have tried the same method as i did with mine and i have followed apple's troubleshooting. when i try it just comes up with 'unable to connect'!!!!! please help with suggestions!
Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc. -
My ipod will connect to my wifi, but it cant access the internet
Okay my problem is, that my ipod touch 4th gen, will connect to my wifi, it will even have full bars, but when I try to go onto the internet, it says "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet." What is wrong and how do I fix it?
- Can you connect to other networks?
- Have y successfully connect to this network before?
- Try powering off and then back on your router.
- Reset your iPod. Nothing will be lost:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset network setting on the iPod: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Try the troubleshootin here:

I cannot stay connected to the wireless. Everytime I am online it will disconnect if not accessed within a few minutes and I have to go into settings to turn wireless off than on again. We have a security key that was added when I set up iPad and tried Internet provider help line but weren't able to figure it out. Tried FaceTime and wouldn't connect even though I was getting a call request, but wouldn't connect and now FaceTime won't verify my apple I'd. Help
It's very easy to update firmware; read the manual that comes with the router?

My iPhone will connect to the wifi but MacBook will not
Dear Apple community,
I apologize in advance if I missed something obvious such as restarting the device etc.
Alright. So my iPhone will connect to my home wifi perfectly fine. The router is located a floor above me directly. However, my MacBook Air can locate the wifi source but won't connect to it. It just suggests running a diagnostics
I was not having this problem around three days ago but now it refuses to work. If I go right next to the router the wifi is fine though
Thank you in advance!Problem solved! My apologies!

My iPad is connected to my WiFi, but I have no internet even though I do on my computer
Help, with my question please.
When you say you've reset your password, I have a suspicion you are actually entering that password into iPad when you were prompted for it. iPad is not really looking for the router password, but is looking for the encryption key code from your router. Go to your router and look for a 13 digit code comprised of numbers and letters. Jot it down. On iPad, go into setting and reset network settings. Then turn on wifi and when your router appears in the router list, choose it. It may take a minute, but eventually a box will pop up asking for a password. Enter the encryption code you jotted down and let us know if you then have access to the internet.

My computer says that i'm connected to the wifi but I have an alert that says no internet connection
no internet connection
This means you're connected to the signal that your router is sending, however your router isn't connected to or sending out the wifi. You should read the user manual to indicate what the blinking lights indicate
or you can reset your router wtih it plugged into the modem and then setup the wireless connection in it.
you could also try turning on and turning off the modem and then turning off and then turning on the router before you reset it.
hope this helps -
Please help me to get the wifi out of being dim so I can connect again.
This almost always means there is a hardware failure that requires replacing the phone. However, first try the suggestions in this support article:

Why won't my macbook air connect to my wifi, but I have no problems with other devices?
I can't seem to connect my macbook air to the internet. I have no problem with my regular mac. What could the problem be?
Let us know what any error message is. Otherwise some general things you can try is creating a new network location in System Preferences > Network. Also you can reset the network settings by deleting /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and restart the computer.
