Have you failed to maintain a backup copy?
You should never update without making sure your backup copy of your computer is up to date.

No. There are no known viruses that can affect an iPhone that has not been jailbroken.
It may ave been copied unknowingly, but there is no virus involved.

I have an old Mac G4 that can only be upgraded to 10.4.11. I use Itunes 7 and I have a Classic Ipod that suddenly says it has been corrupted. If I upgrade the software to 2.3 on the Ipod will i be able to access it from the G4 or will I then have to upgrade the itunes on the G4, which I cannot? No. GarageBand '11 only runs on suitable Mac computers. GarageBand for iPad only runs on iPads.

Using "+" I am unable to open additional tabs; if I use File and click on New Tab it will open. I don't have the Ask Toolbar. How can this be corrected?

I have been having trouble. Some websites I have accessed before are not loading correctly. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't load. Sometimes they load, but you only see a list of links. So the first question is, what version of OS X Server are you running now and what model machine is it running on? The second question is what services is your current server running? The third question is what client devices are you supporting? These will help answer if you can or should.
If you decide you want to the general process is:
1: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP. This is not just that you have some files in two places. Make sure you have a regression plan in the event the upgrade fails. I can not stress this enough.
2: Upgrade the device to Mavericks 10.9.2. This is "purchasable" through the Apple App Store. Please note, Mavericks 10.9.x is free. However, you need to associate it with an Apple ID.
3: Purchase Server.app from the App Store. This is $20 USD.
4: Run Server.app to upgrade your services. Test. Cross fingers.

All the instructions for getting the tab back to the right of the primary tab have not worked, pleas help, how can this be done

After a recent 'update' from Firefox The additional "tab" which used to be at the right side of the primary tab is gone. On the far top left of the page, under the word "File" in the menu bar is a link that opens up a second completely new Firefox page. I do not want this. I want the tab to be in the original position to the right of the primary tab. I have been to 'trouble shooting', tried 'extensions' information and gone to the 'add-ons manager'. Nothing is working. Please help.

There is only one solution: create a new Standard user account and set it as your auto login account, if you use that feature.
Using what you describe is mostly a false sense of security. Were someone to hack into the computer they could hack into the standard account, so you would not wish to keep any sensitive data in that account. Other things to consider:
Turn on your Firewall in Security & Privacy preference panel.
Use software to mask your online presence such as ProxyCap 2.03, MacProxy, Proxifier, or Hotspot Shield.
